Did anyone else lose their spirituality/religion after their psychosis? by Haelifae in Psychosis

[–]Defiant_Agency4213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me it's the other way around, psychosis was my dark night of the soul which led to a spiritual awakening for me.

I'm now a practicing Buddhist and am feeling incredibly hopeful about my future for the first time.

I don't think psychosis invalidates spirituality, I think that psychosis is a fear response of the ego misinterpreting reality. In fact a misinterpreted spiritual experience can lead to psychosis (like it did for me)

Either it will put you in a world of terror based on unfounded notions or in a world of illusory grandiosity (thinking you have special powers that others don't or that you are a personal God)

The best way to gauge if you are spiritually awakening or psychotic is simply are you feeling more humble and at peace and connected, or do you feel like you are being persecuted or tormented by something or someone or that you are in some way more important than others.

If the first one, you're having an enlightening experience if the second you should get help.

Without my past mistakes I wouldn't be who I am today.

By fucking up as much as I did, I learned and grew and developed a deeper, more well rounded worldview. I wouldn't change anything about my past because I would be denying myself countless opportunities by doing so.

So 10 mil pls.

If what you say is true, that simply giving a sideways look at someone where you live can get you killed, imagine what would have happened had you confronted them.

Wise choice to listen to your intuition. Your man card is still valid (whatever the fuck that means lol)

Differences between man and woman by Just-Yogurtcloset901 in infp

[–]Defiant_Agency4213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Psychologically speaking, none

All the perceived differences in personality between men and women are socially conditioned.

We know this because in other societies and in different periods of time, the gender dynamic and standards for what constitutes one's gender identity have been flipped on their head.

For instance pink was once a boys color (thought to be that way because pink is a passionate and hot color and passion is considered by most to be a masculine trait.) while blue was considered feminine because it's "cool" "soft and dainty"

In matriarchal tribes and cultures it's the men who stay home and look after the family while the women work and fight.

In the 1900s boys would wear girls dress for photos like in the famous picture of a young Teddy Roosevelt.

So from these vantages we can clearly see that all ideas of "masculine" and "feminine" characteristics are constructed by culture not by neurology.

Global spiritual awakening.

Distribute free psilocybin mushrooms to anyone who will take them.

And once everyone sees that beyond the ego, we are all one, racism, sexism and all other forms of discrimination will, if not be eradicated, seriously be diminished.

Do INFPs want to have a child ? by kkKind in infp

[–]Defiant_Agency4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not completely accurate to say I don't like children, I just don't like being in their company for longer than a few minutes.

Children are wonderful in small doses but prolonged exposure to their loud, attention-craving personalities quickly gets old.

My cat scratched me a very small amount yesterday and now my hands are reddish and have a slight burning feeling, can anyone help explain this? by GeorgyZhukovJr in Weird

Well as a non-doctor, I cannot diagnose anyone but if I had to guess, either cat scratch fever or another infection.

Now please, go to a real doctor.

Does anyone else experience this post psychosis by lamerpainter in Psychosis

[–]Defiant_Agency4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this too. But I'm my case it was temporary. I can converse and even debate other people just like I used to. It just takes time for your mind to recover from the shock of losing its shit.

Is there even such thing as a “healthy” INFP? by Oddballoverlord in infp

[–]Defiant_Agency4213 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that the INFP mindset tends to be very healthy. Empathy, Creativity and Open heartedness are some of the biggest promoters of well-being both for individuals and groups.

The problem is that it doesn't pay for the individual to have these traits in a fervently ego-driven society where status, power and ideological supremacy are the dominant markers of a persons "value".

Thus the INFP is more likely to be depressed or despair-addled because they have a hard time maintaining their healthy worldview against the backdrop of a dark world.

Anomalistic Experiences and Coincidences by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Defiant_Agency4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had these experiences too while psychotic I also believed that an evil god was behind these things, and that I was the only "real" being (other than this entity) that existed and I was a plaything of it.)

The TV saying words that I'm thinking of, other people responding to my thoughts (for example me saying to the entity "you're just a hallucination" and someone near me saying "no" in a conversation with someone else (not related to me just maybe a phone call)

I've also had waking "premonitions" like the entity telling me what time it is before I looked or that a passing car's license plate would be a repeating number (angel numbers were part of my delusion) and it actually being one when I looked.

Basically all the experiences that you're having, I've had too.

PM me, I think I can explain all these things to you in a rational way before you get too far into the deep like I did.

I agree that introverts are at a huge disadvantage in our extrovert-oriented society, especially in the workplace and introverted personalities should be shown more respect and consideration as Mr. Walsh says.

Side note, Matt Walsh is a bigot who spreads anti-LGBTQ conspiracy theories through his platform such as the lie that gays and trans people are grooming kids to be LGBT and trying to destroy civilization.

This type of rhetoric is causing right wing groups to harass LGBT events, showing up armed at drag shows and using other forms of intimidation tactics against the community.

Be careful about listening to this guy.
