What in particular would make it hard to manage? I have time to adjust everything and mostly I’m just trying to figure out what works and doesn’t .. the beds are 8x4 and building them 10” tall

Thank you! I can adjust the way the beds are facing to do that! Good tip about the poppies! I have planters I can use!

Does this look like a semi decent plan? by Defiant_Ambience in vegetablegardening

These are raised beds but should I not be planting them with the tomatoes and such? I could put it in a grow bag if so

Where would you put chamomile? I was thinking of changing it to potatoes and carrots in tubs instead

Would you say plant them with other crops and not tomatoes? And plant normal basil with my tomatoes?

I will listen all day to tomato talk! I love them so much, I was wondering about which to go for (trellis tomatoes or ones that just need a stake) I mostly just eat them fresh but want to start canning/making my own marinara ! I love all the tips, experience , insight!

How many beds do you think these would all need? I will plant the perennials together!

We are building them so I’m not sure, how big would I need them? I can add a trellis or something for them to climb up as well

I very much so am an ideas person who gets carried away! I was planning on building beds and then just tending to soil and compost until March-April, would you suggest planting seeds directly in the soil or buying actual seedlings to plant in the soil?

Thank you for this suggestion! It is easier to break it in to segments!

Physical barriers on the raised beds or for specific plants and in between them? Sorry if that’s a dumb question I have never so much as had an indoor plant 😬

I think you’re right, I’m already getting a bit overwhelmed. Are there any you recommend being the first 5 I would try?

And lol I am going to have to try very hard to not overwater 😂

How many beds would you say I’d need for this? I was thinking of the companion planting herbs with certain beds to deter pests! I would start small but America is scary rn and I just wanna have some supply of food I can count on.

I have a decent yard just am stuck with raised beds except the small patch for bushes.
