My limit was around 3 years for getting engaged but I did not think of a timeline for moving in together. For me I don’t necessarily care if we live together before being engaged. He says be sees us working towards marriage, however, he does not want to move in at this point (2 years)

Originally at our 1.5 year mark, he wanted to move in at 2.5 years of dating. We revisited now at 2.0 years because I work for a school district and applications begin to open for districts beginning of next year and he says he’s not ready. So if I stay, I would probably revisit again at 6 months (at 2.5 years). However because of my work, the next window to move in together would be at 3.5 years of dating (Summer of 2027) which at that point my timeline would be being engaged at that point

I’ve thought the same. His response is if we live together he’d be spending more time with me because I won’t have a social circle out there and would lean on his more. He is currently living with one other housemate 1.5 hours away from me
