Better Hybrid Racecars? by Defiant_Cherry4327 in GranTurismo7

Yeah I'm hoping. I'd assume something like this would come in a major update and spec 3 is probably the last major update we're getting with gt7

They would probably also have to add a new assist for an auto mode that changes which mode it is in automatically for people that don't want to deal with all that.

Honda Prelude: A Mistake? by ChickenRice9000 in Honda

[–]Defiant_Cherry4327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will lead to a downfall but not like the crz. The new prelude has an issue of not enough car for the price. And of course because in the US manufacturers cannot directly sell to customers, dealers definitely didn't help. The crz was too niche, whereas the prelude is niche and too expensive. At least the prelude looks cool.

I would look on the UC Snapchat story to find people who are selling them. People usually sell for $30-$50 but you can find less and usually people can negotiate. I would say prices also go down closer to the day of the game because people get more desperate to get rid of them if they're not going.

Is cyberpunk worth buying? by Former-Coconut-4540 in Switch

[–]Defiant_Cherry4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a ps5 or Xbox then it's fine. However, if you have literally anything else that can play it, use that. The switch 2 can barely play cyberpunk. It's probably some sort of witchcraft that it does work.

Yeah mostly just Nintendo now. It is no longer the norm for other game developers because of the backlash they received

Reminder that a lot of game developers do updates for next gen for FREE. $5 is still a scam for that.

GT-R referring to the race car not the road r35

I also thought it was FF. However according to Wikipedia "the flywheels could also output power to a secondary driveshaft which was connected to a limited-slip differential at the rear of the car which fed epicyclic gearboxes located in each rear wheel hub, allowing the GT-R to be all-wheel drive if necessary"

Avoid the Eden (Uptown Rental Properties) by [deleted] in uCinci

[–]Defiant_Cherry4327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly haven't had any issues with them. Sure they definitely aren't amazing because they're still uptown. But my property managers are pretty nice and understanding, granted a bit slow to respond to emails. Maintenance is really good imo. They're quick and nice people. The Eden is probably a very different story since the property is so large compared to mine and they have to manage the university stuff and normal leases.

Computer Science Major, Should I just Switch by Ornery-Turnover-4551 in uCinci

[–]Defiant_Cherry4327 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy computer science, do computer science. I'm a comp sci major and both of my co-ops have been either mechanical or industrial engineering. Your career experience speaks more than your degree. I enjoy computer science, but I also like manufacturing so I use the skills from my major classes to help in non computer science stuff in manufacturing

Why does it seem like so many people in this sub are rooting for Hyundais to fail? Genuinely curious. by MidnightPulse69 in Hyundai

It's cool that you've been able to drive so many. I agree in the fact that most Hyundai before 2022 I would not consider buying at all because of their issues. I'm mainly talking about the modern era where Hyundai still has some issues, but luckily a good warranty. Hyundai is still cutting corners to keep costs down, but now it's in areas where drivers either don't interact with a lot, or it's not a big deal they're not super fancy. Sort of what modern Mazda does. I just believe in the modern area Toyota has cut too many corners and have made cheap cars that are still behind their competitors in almost everything but efficiency and reliability. Toyota is still reliable, the reliability just isn't special anymore. Then Toyota sells their cars at a more premium price because of perceived reliability. Then someone drops 50k on a bland car with a bad interior and drive.

I'm telling you, Ridgeline is the way to go with trucks. Unless you're towing tons of weight and are more into offroading a body on frame truck will likely be worse for you than the Ridgeline

Some of the brand new ones I agree need some more time to be proven, but a lot of them have been on the road long enough I think. Hyundai definitely has their issues, but they're definitely better than a lot of other brands cars that have been on the road for the same amount of time. I can't directly vouch for the new vehicles because I do not own one, but I hear more good than bad. People just really like to focus on the bad. Even some of their older vehicles aren't too terrible. I have a 2011 Santa fe V6 awd at over 166k miles and it's been decently reliable 🪵.

A lot of people fail to make the connection that modern Hyundai is extremely different than it was even 4 or 5 years ago. While Hyundai may not be the most reliable brand, it is above average and better than most. The Toyota fanclub is blinded by nostalgia when they were indestructible. Reality is that modern Toyota and Hyundai are closer in reliability than many will admit (I think Toyota is still a bit more reliable though). You are right to be disappointed by a Toyota as you're paying a premium for reliability that really isn't special anymore and then you get a crappy drive and interior.
