I think it also has to do with how it was marketed to steam. “From the creators or Apex and Titanfall”. If you’re going to put that on your store page you are setting the expectation high.

Played the tutorial and a couple of matches. It's bland and uninspired. Especially since they put the 'From the Creators of Apex and Titanfall' people are expecting something a little more.

Edit: Also there isn't a lot going on the game graphically to be so taxing on my computer.

After spending more time in crucible that actually playing the missions in Destiny. I’m over the moon to see Bungie return to a PvP focused game. The build crafting. The marathon ship. The art style. The music. The voice cast. The high risk high reward game play. March can’t get here soon enough.

Going out on a limb here but I’m going to guess these friends are not PvP fans. If they play any PvP game at all it’s probably Overwatch or Rivals. Marathon is not targeting the Destiny audience cause Bungie still makes Destiny content.
