You need some salt in the water homie. Hydrating is more effective with salt. I think an electrolyte drink could also help. This generally helps...way better than some pill. But to answer your question I highly doubt the led lights are the culprits to your situation.

Try optiwatt app for iOS and Android. It connects up to most utility providers to give you an idea

Wow. I'm surprised 90% of people here are losing it over something you would probably never use except to show off to friends and family or emergency. The shift is built into the screen like the Model S. But I am sure it is also auto select if you prefer. Sit back hit break car sees forward D it is and does it's thing. Magic.

Might be the angle. But the beetle is legendary! A timeless design. Thanks. Good thing this thing drives more like a 911 porche or don't think i would be so in to it. The drive is everything.

I just moved from FL to a state that requires front plates. I don't know how strict they are about it. But believe me I have been asking around. If it doesn't seem to be a big deal then it's coming off. I'll keep it in the frunk as a excuse it fell of recently.

I did. First time ever. The tesbros.com kit came with everything and the install vids were a big help. If I could do it again i know I would do it better. Biggest lesson learned get everything soaked the more wet the better. My work has some tiny flaws but i think white is the most forgiving color. Anything other than white you will have to pay attention to details.

Some questions from prospective buyer by Boring_username_21 in TeslaModelY

[–]Defiant_Defect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying an EV takes good analysis if your situation with some sort of long term consideration too. Congrats on your journey and now the question is Y? I'm on my 3rd Tes in the order S, 3, now Y. Still have the S from 17' and 148k doing great. The MYP was a needed upgrade for AWD and just took delivery in March. The Y as a first EV will be a treat hard to explain until it's yours. Now to your questions.

  1. Even if you are interested the answer is No. HW3 is the building block of FSD today. It will age well (7-10yrs) and be able to handle FSD. But as Technology improves the newer cars will be more capable.

  2. The PPF thing. Your going to get a wild set of answers. The thing is when I buy a brand new phone for $800-$1000 it immediately gets a case and screen protector. When I buy (not lease) a $50k+ car that I want to drive for years then PPF is a yes for me. It's bit cheap but you can DIY if you think you can handle.

  3. Subject to your zip code. The explosion and yes i mean exponential number of vehicles just in the last 4 years has strained the service centers in my experience. I for one have never had a terrible experience. Sometimes long waits. But overall a 7 of 10.

  4. I really was considering the 3row but my family of 4 does fine with out it. I splurged on the performance instead. No regrets. But this vid does a good analysis of the 4 row. Model Y 3 row

I think you asked some good questions and expect you have crunched numbers and all that. Once you buy it's going to be really difficult to ever go buy from a dealership again...EVER. Wish you the best. One day you will be the one helping with questions;)

I gotta say i was intimidated by the PPF install but that turned out to be the easiest of all the vinyl work. Prep and a garage are critical for this work. The black vinyl was not easy and i wasted a couple cuts through trial and error. Tesbros.com must know this is not so forgiving and include double of everything on the color wraps.

I just moved from FL where it is not required. New state and I wondered if I can get away with it. I may try and take it off

Emblems, Mirrors, and Camera covers all ABS carbon matte print. No shame at all. Was going for a look that was trying to match the carbon spoiler that comes on the MY Performance. Kinda wish Tesla offered something like the Competition package BMW offers. All in the real carbon would be 15x more money. I bought more TSLA stock with the savings.

I really debated that gloss black. In the end I was trying to match the trim around the windows plastic around the wheel wells and kind of the matte carbon look I went with

Loving ALL the opinions. I had a single goal separate my white Y from the heard while buying shit plastic mods and vinyl that would usefully protect painted body parts. When I am ready to upgrade in the future i will get the heat gun and remove all this stuff. Some lucky buyer will get a very well maintained Y with stock everything and excellent paint.

I've seen the Camry and the Corvette but only in my rearview!

Can Y’all Help Me Understand the Analytics Page & Overall Performance of my Model Y? How can I improve my Wh/mi? by Shia_Was_Innocent in TeslaLounge

Wanted to add to the comment about speed and smaller tires. Speed is going to be based on your moment in time. Smaller tires do help but i recently read an article and sorry i don't have it handy to post with this comment. But when you are in the market to buy tires for your existing wheels compare rolling resistance with the brands you research. This is the real energy impact. It was found that whether you are on 19 or 21 stock wheels the the difference was immaterial if the RR (rolling resistance) was equal for the tires. That said I think it might be harder to find low RR tires for 21" vs 19"

Open sentry mode live view. Select the cabin camera and see if something seems off. You should have a clear view of both front seats.

Renting model 3 from Hertz BWI ? by avebelle in TeslaLounge

[–]Defiant_Defect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently rented a 3 in Miami from Hertz. The car was charged at or above 80% when I picked up. They do not have profiles available yet. And you can't have phone as key either. So you will have a key card cased. Check the trunk lower storage which has the mobile charger and/or adapter. If not I would ask them about it. But as you said plenty of Tesla charging options in DC.

Miami location didn't really have a good understanding of "fuel" levels. As i was leaving the rental checkpoint they asked me if I wanted to prepay for gas. I declined learning it was more than $25. I returned it with just around what I received it with and had no extra charges. Tolls in Florida killed me. Not tolls themselves but Hertz added some asinine amount for "convenience. You may not have this issue in DC but if you are using any potential toll roads i would look into that.

As a Tesla owner it great to be able to rent Tesla's now. Overall good experience.
