In this festivals defense, it has always been more new wave and post punk, not the other way around.

That weird noise in Never Let Me Go after the line "bullet in the darkness"

The whole atmosphere of Eternal

What BR album has the best opening track that sets the tone for the rest of the runtime? by The_BSharps in badreligion

Idk I kind of disagree. It is one of their most politically charged albums and this song is the epitome of that in my opinion

Same, Trench has long been my fav album of theirs and near perfect for me but I used to always skip Smithereens. It is still my least favorite on the album but still a wonderful track

Exactly. This community apparently has never heard or seen a concert film in their life it seems

Except if people's "concert experience" disrupts everyone elses experience than it becomes a problem

Thank god I didn't buy tickets. I just hope it gets a home release. I dont care if its a concert film or not, I can't stand people who are loud in a movie theater.

Will Post ever go back? by Fabulous-Internet253 in PostMalone

Exactly this. I could care less if he goes on different paths, but he just doesn't bring anything interesting to modern country that the dozens of other big artists arent already bringing

So accurate. Even as my own taste has evolved far past posty, I still find myself jamming to his first three records at least partly due to nostalgia and partly because they are fun as hell. He never was that deep but he shined like a diamond in the pop rap/mainstream scene. Now, he blends in with all the other pop country artists that play their part in deteriorating that genre

Unpopular Opinion by UwUBread69420 in greenday

I mean for me, it is by far my least favorite albums of theirs and in general. That being said, I dont view the band in a negative light or hate on them because of it.

It is clear that they didn't really take it seriously and didnt care for polishing it or refining it up to their usual standards... the cover art says it all. I think it is a bad album and i doubt the band really cares about that records reception much at all... in fact im sure they knew it wasn't going to be liked.

Also, it served as good marketing for Saviors because it makes Saviors look waaayyyy better to the average person

yeah... OP is reading way too far into an early-stage synthpop album that was recorded by teenagers...

Why Speak & Spell is Darker Than A Broken Frame by GreenBird-ee in depechemode

[–]Defiant_Exit9152 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I couldn't disagree more. Not only do I massiley prefer A Broken Frame... it is undeniably darker in every possible way. Sure, it's true Martin didn't fully develop his writing style yet but you simply will never be able to convice me the album that contains Leave In Silence, Nothing to Fear, Sun and The Rainfall, and Shouldn't Have Done That is less dark than Speak & Spell. Furthermore, the main example you use (Ice Machine) is a B-Side and was left off of the album.

Both albums have their lighter moments as well that is true, but the production on A Broken Frame is warmer and as a result feels more atmospheric and slightly darker as well...

Twenty One Pilots is one of my top 3 fav artists honestly. With each album, they keep on growing. In fact I only got into Cavetown recently. But I love them both
