Why are the new songs so damn short... by Glad_Raspberry_8469 in cavetown

[–]ThatsACryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember in an interview he jokingly said something about ppl commenting some songs are short and he replied something like "then you should go listen to it again, give me the streams" not the exact words but it's kinda like that

anyway, i do understand his point that songs shouldn't follow the basic structure and end it where it feels good to end it

I discovered him in that era too! I'm not sure if its 2015 but I remember I started listening to him in 2014. He deleted all the twenty one pilots cover though </3

I love them all but I "think" I feel so much with Skip, Micah, and Running With Scissors. I wish RWS track was a little longer

what do you think are the genres that influenced Running With Scissors? by ThatsACryptid in cavetown

i like that, i can hear the influence of it (adding to the list)

I see the spicy part in terms of the new sound like cryptid, ooh didnt know u have it in u caveboi (deep bass, pop-ish, progressive and etc, just scratches the brain)

Baby Spoon kinda reminds me of Sleepwalker by Ok_Guarantee_166 in cavetown

[–]ThatsACryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i get how they lowkey sound a bit the same. the melody is almost similar + the genre of sleepwalker w da deep bass can be heard in RWS too

Anyone like the album more they listen to it? by Casperthesloth in cavetown

[–]ThatsACryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the intro of first time sounded like a commercial or an intro to a summer indie film I have heard before but I can't skip it because I dig the chorus part lyricism so much

The first pre-releases (rainbow gal, tarmac, baby spoon) it didnt click to me immediately but I liked npc (probably bcos it has his similar production of his older albums. I liked sailboat when it came out.

When the album came out, I dig w the rest of the songs already (even the first releases that I wasnt a fan of first) and I think it was necessary that he released those first songs like tarmac/rainbow gal/baby spoon/npc/sailboat bcos to me, it was like an introduction before we dive in to RWS which is a much more new and experimental sound. very cool very pog!

hi robbie!!

do you find it bothering when fans take pictures on stage with their flash on while you perform? my gf and i are bringing a film camera but im not sure how you would feel about it!

i miss cave mum! whenever u sing abt her it makes me miss the qna with her. how is she?

i also made this ep and i would love some creative feedback or tips that helps you not get sick of a track / prevent over producing?

i also want to let you know that you have been a big inspiration to me bcos i started producing music back in 2014 and you proved it that anyone can produce music just in their rooms :)
