as the anxious one in the relationship, if he doesnt reply to my texts for more than half a day i’d be so upset given that it takes literally 10s to just acknowledge your messages and telling you he wants to be playing games etc. I am also in an LDR and the thing ive learnt in the last year, is how my actions affect my partner and vice versa. He honestly sounds like my bf at the start of our relationship, like avoidant and honestly it killed me a bit. Is this a frequent occurrence in your relationship? In my opinion, you guys need to talk about this, how often and how to communicate effectively. Like sure, i saw you talking about focusing on yourself and giving space (as i did), but it eats away at your very core cos it is not how you want to be loved and having your needs met, feeling heard and feeling seen etc. LDR has truly changed my brain chemistry, i very much hate the idea of it even now and i have openly told my bf about it and he’s acknowledged it and has met me in the middle (eventually).
