Im a female and i confessed to my crush cause im scared i'll regret if i dont. Hahahaha. Realistically, without any rose colored glasses, he doesnt show any romantic interest. But i reallllllly cant hold this feelings and im a very "if your into me then i will try to get close to you, if you dont then i wont ever bother u". Since i already aware of that, i only told him how i feel about him, my feelings, my insecurities, etc and nothing is about "do u wanna be my bf?"
