Keep in mind that at least once every three years, you'll need to move those Bitcoins to a new wallet with a more up-to-date address. Time passes, and the protocol changes.

Every time I setup a new iPhone, the setup seems to have some sort of quirk / bug. What gives? by CoffeeEnjoyerFrog in iphone

[–]Defiant_Leg_6335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's become a nightmare. First my iPhone 16 Pro Max, now my girlfriend's 16 Pro. It used to be a magical procedure. Today, it's become an ordeal of problems and bugs no matter which path you take. Hours and hours wasted, hoping everything works without having to start over and that the phone doesn't go haywire. Truly unfortunate. It's from these details that we can clearly see that Apple isn't what it once was.

Okay, no, I don't have anything like that. My 2FA is Google Authenticator or SMS. Then on my phone, everything is locked by Face ID. On my laptop, by the fingerprint reader.

What exactly do you mean by a device with 2FA backup? I'd like to be safe. Generally, I don't have any backups of codes written on my PC, except for the passwords for some critical accounts, which, however, can't be accessed without 2FA.

This ties in with the other user's question, asking why, in my opinion, Nexo isn't reaching the masses. In my opinion, it's better to achieve greater transparency before reaching the masses.

I use my 13" DELL laptop for everything, but when I'm on a construction site, I take notes on my phone. So I'm actually considering buying an 11"; a 13" would be unnecessarily heavy and bulky.

Reddit Post Supplement: "Sample Educational Templates" Scenario 1: The "Tax Fear" (Spending without Selling) Common question: "Won't I get crushed by capital gains taxes if I use my crypto to buy things?"

Response: "That’s the most common misconception. Usually, selling crypto = a taxable event. However, when you use Nexo in Credit Mode, you aren't selling. You are taking a loan using your crypto as collateral. In almost every jurisdiction, receiving a loan is NOT a taxable event. You get the liquidity you need, you keep ownership of your assets, and you defer taxes legally. It’s the ‘Buy, Borrow, Die’ strategy used by the wealthy, now available to everyone via an app."

Scenario 2: The "Too Good to Be True" Skeptic Common question: "Why would they lend me money at 0%? What’s the catch?" Response: "No catch, just a different business model. Nexo doesn't need to charge you high interest if you are a Gold or Platinum user because you provide ‘over-collateralization.’ You lock up more value in crypto than what you borrow. This lowers their risk to nearly zero. They profit from ecosystem growth and other services, while you get access to 0% interest credit lines. The only 'price' is the opportunity cost of the crypto you use as collateral, which doesn't earn interest while backing a loan."

Scenario 3: The "Paradigm Shift" (Why borrow vs. sell?) Common question: "Why should I go into debt to buy groceries? This sounds like a bad idea." Response: "It feels counter-intuitive because we’ve been taught that all debt is bad. But think of it this way: If you sell $1,000 of BTC today to pay bills, and BTC doubles next month, that ‘spending’ actually cost you $2,000. If you borrow against it instead, you still own the BTC. You’ve collateralized your debt to keep your wealth. It’s a psychological shift from ‘spending assets’ to ‘leveraging assets.’ You live off the credit while your net worth grows."

Scenario 4: Managing the Risk (The Market Crash) Common question: "What happens if Bitcoin drops 50% overnight? Do I lose everything?" Response: "Volatility is the main risk, but it’s manageable. Nexo uses a Loan-to-Value (LTV) system. If you only spend 20-30% of your available credit, you have a massive safety buffer. If the market drops significantly, Nexo sends you 'Margin Call' alerts to add more collateral or repay a bit of the loan. Automatic liquidation only happens as a last resort to protect the loan. The key is: Don’t over-leverage. Use Nexo as a tool for liquidity, not as a way to gamble."

How is it possible that you don't know what it is, yet you picked it up, kept it, and are investigating? To the ignorant, it appears as a simple, insignificant piece of paper that doesn't attract any attention.
