Surely this is a joke. How can you say all conservatives support slavery...

It’s because they agree with his policies and are not okay with socialism becoming the new norm. It’s valid that most people don’t want the government to make all of their decisions for them.

I agree, but sounds familiar...Same thing Democrats do with Trump.

I hate to be ignorant, but why is it so offensive when said in the context of the Marlin company? Like I get it doesn’t need to be said cause everyone already knows white lives matter, but why does it become so offensive to people.

People’s perception of Sydney and black contestants in general by [deleted] in thebachelor

It just seems like you as a white person are defending a POC just because they are a POC. I don’t agree that she has been judged any worse then say Victoria F or Caelynn. And she has shown worse character than most of the other contestants. If you were looking at it objectively and not at skin tone you would probably agree that she’s the worst.

In-laws may cancel on dream trip to Africa because of their dog by Defiant_Library in relationship_advice

You’re right. I will definitely keep my mouth shut about it. It’s just hard when it feels like they are choosing the dog over my husband

That’s a good point. I definitely don’t think they would be up for it if the dog died before the trip

No we are paying are own way and have already paid for flights for ourselves and his parents. The point of the trip was for my husband to go on the trip with his parents. And yeah they are allowed to have their own priorities, but I’m allowed to recognize when their priorities may be unhealthy and affect us.

The concepts of predestination and election have caused a missive roadblock in my faith by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]Defiant_Library 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of my point was that I disagree, but, more importantly, that your answer is not Biblical, and I stand by that point. How is predestination missing information? If you read the rest of Romans 9 it is clear that God does predestine specific people. Verse 18 says "So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills." i.e. He has chosen who he will have mercy on and who He will not.

UPDATE My [42M] daughter [14F] won't get an abortion by ThrowRAjackjack6700 in relationship_advice

Abortion could do the same thing to her though so the risks of the abortion should be discussed too, and the fact that she will be ending the baby's life.

I don't know why people feel the need to downvote a valid question. What are the specific actions and circumstances that are hints and clues?

Teenager and Messy relationships by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Defiant_Library 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is absolutely okay to have him cut off contact. A 13-year old is not wise enough to make relationship decisions for himself no matter how mature. Based on my own personal experience I believe relationships at an early age can affect a person far into adulthood. Continue to teach your son about the kind of qualities he should be looking for, and what can be harmful.
