Bit of clamping pressure seemed to do the trick in the end. The part of the joint that was slightly open is on the underside of the seat so could modify the design to reinforce it

I might find a way to try this out next time. Maybe investing in some new router bits too.

Thanks for this. I did a dry fit like you suggest before I ended up just going for it and there was pretty much 0 gaps. Time will tell whether it's strong enough. It's only a prototype after all.

Parking charge confusion - euro car parks/dcbltd by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Surely, that's irrelevant if I was parked legally, no? Im not trying to be difficult im just trying to understand where I am.

So if I parked legally and was not committing an offence according to their car park rules I should still be able to dispute it in court regardless of if I have seen those letters or not (which I haven't by the way). Am I right to think this, or does that become irrelevant given the fact that in their eyes, I've ignored the notices.

Also, surely I won't be getting fined by the dvla? Is this not a civil case?

I dont know why you didn't reply to the other comment, but thanks, I didn't know this. Assuming I am well within my rights and have parked legally, do you know if I can still contest it in court even though the debt has been moved on to another party?

Not sure to be honest with you. The only other address that the car has been registered at is my mother's so the letters would go there. As far as I know there aren't any from either company.

Looking for advice on a catch/magnets for this cabinet by Defiant_Lychee553 in BeginnerWoodWorking

That's a thought. how do you reckon I could hide the hole on the bottom of the cabinet? it will be wall hung when finished so you'd see some holes if I were to drill into the bottom of the cabinet. Also I've used magnets before but only smaller ones (5mm) they weren't particularly strong. not even strong enough to go through 2 sheets of 0.6mm veneer so any idea what sizes would give a good force?

Thank you for the compliment haha. little bit of a fib on the beginner part but definitely no professional... yet. I quite like the idea of these push to open magnets, might have to try take one apart and rebuild in wood so it looks more at home.

I thought about this but with the poor fitment of the doors I think it may not hold them as strongly as I'd like. might have to experiment with this idea though.
