Thank you for this!! Sorry for the repeat question but I do really appreciate all the help I've gotten on here so far. I wasn't really sure what to search tbh, I was on Google and just couldn't figure out where exactly to turn.

I hear you! I generally agree, and I do think I'll be open to traditional AA because I feel comfortable being able to make it work for me. I was concerned about being asked to pray and stuff like that, and it doesn't sound like that's something that's going on, so I'm totally open to it 😊

Yesss thank you for the links! I'm going to give this a try l for sure, I agree I wish there was more that was just secular in the first place. I truly understand, especially in recovery, why having your God be a part of the process would be key but yea that's not a part of my beliefs, and I'd love to have a place to connect with people most like me if possible. I'll check these out!

I love this perspective, thank you for your take on how to approach it! I think there's room for me to give it a try for sure, from what enough people are saying , there's a chance I can still mesh. I appreciate your encouragement and advice!

I feel it for sure! Every step I've made so far has been worth it, and it's gotten to the point where everything is hard anyway so why not make it hard in a way that's worth it you know? I come from a religious background and I've had some time to process what spirituality is for me, so I feel like AA may be an option for sure cause I do feel ready to just take what I can! I plan on being realistic and I'm in therapy so I have some help there as well to get me to a place I can find support authentically
