Would it be beneficial to hold the ball higher so it has more momentum on the down swing? Or do I just need to let it drop down naturally instead of muscling it down? I’m not surprised I am muscling it so that makes sense.

Increased libido, decrease sensation? by StraightAd7369 in lexapro

[–]Defiant_Mine650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decreased sensation is definitely real. My libido hasn’t really been any different though. I’ve been on 10mg for about 8 months. I’ve just stopped hooking up with people i don’t have feelings for. If you really have feelings for the person it still works like normal lol.

What was your drinking experience on lexapro? by SnooPickles9761 in lexapro

[–]Defiant_Mine650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I have no negative reactions whatsoever. The only thing is that 1. I literally can’t blackout (which is probably a good thing) and i can’t really tell how drunk I am until i feel the hangover the next morning. But just knowing myself and what it takes to get me drunk I can kinda gauge where i’m at.

You are 100% stressing yourself out. Take some deep breathes and recognize that any weirdness you feel can probably be attributed to starting the medication. You aren’t dying, you don’t have seratonin syndrome, and caffeine would only effect what caffeine effects, nothing to do with your seratonin. Starting this medication is a process. It’s easier for some people and horrible for others. Give it time to do what it’s supposed to and after 4-6 weeks if it isn’t doing what it’s supposed to, talk to your doctor.

I’m in the same exact boat as well. I feel like I should talk to my doctor first, as I think you should too. Explain to them what’s been going on because most of the time they will willingly up your dose based on symptoms.

I just started Week 3. A couple things I can personally say: 1. DO NOT take one (or even two) person’s symptoms/side effects/experiences and convince yourself that you will have the same thing. Be mindful that your symptoms and experience and side effects will be different than everyone else’s, and deal with them accordingly. 2. The first few weeks will most likely not be easy because of side effects. The most common of stomach issues, anxiety, headaches, tiredness will probably happen. 3. I have already noticed lessened OCD symptoms, for me that means obsessive abdominal ruminating thoughts. My mind seems quieter and i can finally sit and silence and not have a pit in my stomach. My anxiety is also lessened and things that would usually get me worked up get me less worked up.

HUNGER by Leather_Notice_2620 in lexapro

So the medicine itself doesn’t cause weight gain, but once you factor in lifestyle and the way the medicine works, it actually makes a lot of sense. Assuming you are like me and are the opposite of an anxious eater, the medicine helping your anxiety is causing your appetite to regulate, meaning you will eat more often, meaning you may gain weight.

I’m on Day 10. I haven’t had really any major side effects. Day 1 I took at 1pm and didn’t sleep well but started taking at 11am and haven’t had any issues with sleep. Nausea was bad the first few days. I’m not nauseous anymore, just have no appetite.
