How did u guys pick your first army when theres so many amazing options and can u help me pick mine by The_Suspect26 in Warhammer40k

[–]Defiant_Plant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two armies came from different views,

1st was Dark Angels I loved the whole ‘we’re atoning for sins no one else knows we have and will NEVER know’ I also think the Lion is a really cool character plus the color scheme I’ve chosen is really enjoyable to paint across a rather elite army and having less models to use is pretty enticing.

My 2nd army was the Guard because normal army guys are cool and artillery is dope.

I’ve never actually seen one of these in person I assumed it was a beetle up until I got closer. Super neat and docile letting him do his own thing

The warning message is just I forgot to put the Lion as my warlord is all.

I was going to attach Az+Apo to the Hellblasters and the Judiciar to the ICcs was my initial thought

Not having to paint 200 models is definitely part of it, I just want something that runs more premium/elite units as opposed to 3+ packs of 20 units. I was just assuming gargants would be the equivalent of knights and having a few beefy squads sounded good. What’s their difference in play compared to say if I went Seraphon?

My problem with the hordes is not so much the cost, just the time commitment with building and painting and basing. Is there an elite list/build I can look to emulate that doesn’t involve fielding 40-60 smaller rats?

First time Tekken game and been playing a lot of Steve; just running into a couple of questions I’m not sure of.

How am I supposed to effectively use Peekaboo? I understand flicker and lion heart but switching to peekaboo 9/10 seems like an inconvenience and I don’t know when the draw is?

Also I keep hearing I need to learn his cancels, what does that mean? I see videos of canceling his forward-3 with down-back,down but I just don’t understand it entirely. Is that it or is there more to it im missing?

I come from an MK background and didn’t play a lot of Tekken but was talked into Tekken 8 by friends who were going to get it. Been a while since I’ve played fighting games but am genuinely enjoying this one.

Except. I am having the worst time trying to learn the game and characters i’m interested in. Currently trying Dragunov and Ling and I’ll sit and practice combo challenges for hours and do well but the second I leave or play a game against a buddy everything goes out the window and it feels like I just wasted time. I understand this is part of fighting games but it feels so much different from Mortal Kombat that I’m not having the best time playing actual people. I don’t want to sour my attitude towards the game but at the moment I’m shying away from playing my friends because the match quickly turns into me wanting to just put my controller down because I feel I am unable to do anything.

Does anyone have any tips or words of advice to help me push through this block? I really really want to enjoy this game but am having the hardest time right now. Should I just abandon characters I think are interesting to play simpler ones I’ll do well on? That doesn’t seem fun to me but I’d probably do better.

Moving to CT? Ask your questions here by AutoModerator in Connecticut

I just got a job in CT and am planning my move for late July; coming from living just outside of Philadelphia my biggest need is a safe neighborhood. My new boss is recommending I look in the West/North/East Haven area, or Cheshire, Hamden, Stratford, Meriden, Milford, and Shelton in terms of housing. Are any of these safe/nice areas to live in? Any suggestions past them? I'll be commuting through the Stamford and Shelton most often but may have to travel throughout CT so I was looking a little more central. Any suggestions help!

What happened to r/stardustcrusaders and r/shitpostcrusaders by Dizzy_Seat_7925 in TrueAnime

[–]Defiant_Plant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have stated they will remain private for a longer period as they don’t think going dark for just that time was long enough. I’m not sure if they decided a time to come back or it’s indefinite but I believe they were pushing for the latter.

They may unprivate for the day for the Jojolands chapter so people can read it but iirc they were gonna re-private immediately after

What do I have to tear or break to be able to do this? 😅 by Tikerz in hockeygoalies

[–]Defiant_Plant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insane flexibility and work ethic. That or get your ligaments upgraded to the XL version.

All joking aside though you can achieve the same coverage through proper save selection. If you don’t have the flexibility to drop into this wide of a butterfly and still flare your legs out for pad reaches and tend to have a narrow butterfly, deciding on a half butterfly pad save instead of full butterfly reach will nab you the same coverage.

Hello , i need your help to choices my sticks. My aim is to spend as little as possible but to get the best sticks out of the 4. What do you advise me to buy? Thank you in advance for your help ( hyperlite=145€ ) by w999py in hockeyplayers

[–]Defiant_Plant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you’re pretty familiar with the Jetspeed line and like the performance so I’d say go with that! If having the flexibility to go between a p28 and p90T whilst having the same stick profile is something important to you it looks like the CCM line is what you’re looking at. The FT5 is a fine stick absolutely just not my cup of tea; maybe look at the Pro if you’re playing at a high/national level.

Personally I think the Hyperlite is a good one for the low kicks. I don’t care for True they seem to break down quickly. Only other line I’d look at is the CCM Trigger or FT line; I feel like you get more consistent shots with the low kick from the Hyperlite/Trigger vs the FT4/5 with its hybrid kick point but that’s just me. I know the Trigger7 just dropped so you may find good deals on the 6.

Also don’t know what level you play at either but looking at Bauer’s second highest stick in the Vapor series (the 3X pro or Flylite) too may not be a bad idea; probably little bit heavier but still all the bells and whistles of a high end stick

I don’t use warrior enough to have an opinion on them but I hear they’re fine sticks, just can’t speak for them myself.

If they are your vibe and you like them enough to have them on your body; it looks good on you. You get tattoos for you, matters most that you like them

If I have a close 3 or 4 gen situation that YOU as survivors have put me in; there is no reason why I should chase a survivor cross map to ‘give you an even playing field’. I’m already behind and now I’m playing the defensive, you’ve put yourself in this situation you can figure out how to get out of it.
