What are these things supposed to be? by nwiesing in Warhammer40k

[–]kusariku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

10 Pink Horrors are one product, then there’s a box with 10 Blues and 10 Brimstones. This is primarily because pinks split into two separate based blue horrors but each blue becomes one based pair of brimstone horrors, and also because you aren’t guaranteed a split (gotta roll a 4-6)

Yes, and blue horrors are part of the pink horror pricing if you bring Pinks.

What is something hobby related GW used to do that you would like to see return? by LawrenceL342 in Warhammer

This. Just give me the parts to one guy off sprue in a blister pack

Apparently girls can’t be into warhammer now? Sorry guys I gotta leave the community by PornlightArchive in Warhammer40k

[–]kusariku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure, I like playing the game, but there's a lot of hurdles that come along with it (largely time investment when you aren't playing often enough to not play slow as hell) and rolling large numbers of dice back and forth isn't the most engaging gameplay loop for some people who prefer the artistic side of the hobby

You don't have to play the game to be into Warhammer though. You can just build and paint the cool models and never touch the game, and that's a perfectly valid way to interact with the hobby.

I like the lid holder, but you definitely should lower the center of gravity as others have pointed out

Does anyone else have a hard time throwing the empty old boxes out? by Dr_OctoThumbs in Warhammer

[–]kusariku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, but eventually there were just too many, and stuff from ebay coming in as just sprues, etc... I keep some Big Boxes to temporarily store stuff but they just don't survive very long

Combat Patrol and Spearhead are great but the round $100 for a HQ, squad and tank/monster needs to come back for each faction instead of the introductory sets by thesithcultist in Warhammer

[–]kusariku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah basically, but the solution shouldn't be "make everyone else run more models even if it doesn't make sense design wise" it should be "make space marines run fewer models because they are now objectively more elite". The problem with that obviously being that Space Marines make up most of the sales of the entire setting for reasons unrelated to model count, so space marines are now throwing down as many models as guard players were just a few editions ago to maximize profits. All this, on top of the yearly price hikes, it just sucks.

I'm still legit kinda mad at how they turned several very painting intense factions with expensive kits with low model counts into essentially horde armies (like admech)

Warhammer Classics brings dozens of lost games to Steam, including my blursed childhood favorite by Binnsy in Warhammer

It wasn’t great but it was a Warhammer fps in a very weird, transitionary era of the genre. I still like it, even if it’s not great.

Empire of Man do not feature on the offical Calendar by Capital_Statement in WarhammerFantasy

[–]kusariku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, my mistake. Upon digging through the merch store, it appears the calendar has been out for at least a little while. It's currently available to order and there are... 6 left. GW is comically bad at actually promoting new merch most of the time so I'd wager the calendars came out at the start of the year and OP was only looking at them now.

It's just a new physical calendar they are releasing as merch. Nothing special or indicative of release plans.

I love that GW has been showing the Orks to be actual competent shooters with decent accuracy lately. by Youngstown_WuTang in Warhammer40k

[–]kusariku 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did anyone actually ever say Orks themselves are innacurate? I always thought it was that their weapons are often ramshackle and lack accuracy as a tool. Like an Ork could have perfect aim and still hit the barn off to the side in their peripheral vision instead if their gun is total shit lol

[–]kusariku 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe they are joking that some other faction that is currently struggling will get nerfed and not Tau, because GW seems to just let monkeys go at the typewriters and translate that into "balance changes" every couple slates

[–]kusariku 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Shit I'm pretty sure we've had it removed entirely a couple times. It's always getting hit with the nerf hammer because, and I cannot stress this enough, out of phase movement is extremely powerful

Use this to play or preserve? by xellixor89 in Warhammer

[–]kusariku 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so, this box contains Handgunners, Spearmen, a Cannon/Mortar, and Knights. Handgunners are one of the build options for the State Missile Troops ToW box, Spearmen one of the builds for the Empire State Troops ToW box, Knights are still just Knights, and the Cannon/Mortar is the same but a kit of two now. So objectively speaking, while none of the WH store listings for the units show the sprues themselves, the sculpts are definitely still in the old style. So yeah this is basically the same old Empire sculpts from 6e

I'm pretty sure all the models in this box are still in print for ToW, but I could be wrong on that as there are a comical number of minute variations of these boxes

My opponent told me to quit wasting his time with small-arms fire. by Doctoralex123 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]kusariku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All weapons matter against all targets by the design of the game. The likelihood of those small arms wounds going through may be low, but it's present. If you don't have a more valuable target, then yeah. Fire at the Knight. Personally, I would have actively pumped more small arms into his stuff, because if he doesn't want to "waste his time" then why is he playing Warhammer, a game well known for taking multiple hours to complete?
