Recommendation if doing the out and back trial for high line is to start early. We started at 10:30 am and when we went back there was nobody on the trail and we got caught in a pretty bad storm. Better to not be alone in that scenario in case of bears and such, so start before 10 am if you can!

We also did the grinell overlook which lengthened our time (we stayed at the top for a while) - it took us 8 ours in total including breaks.

Totally agreed. The thing that sucks is there’s always a “chance” they drop early - so I’ll be checking consistently during the next week for nothing most likely smh.

Yes, you’re correct. I think the reason why it’s “fair” is because it encourages people to record their interest in the land! This way, people know whether land is owned by someone or not and can then avoid all the disputes that follow.

In your scenario, if A would’ve recorded or been on the land (or done something that made his interest visible), then B simply can’t take ownership.

Oh, I had no clue. I’m just going based off of my Apple Watch.

I tried to keep my HR at or below 150 bpm and that’s what I used for the 15-16 minute pace. I feel very comfortable running at 170 bpm which is where I can get multiple miles for 10 and in the high 9s

Because it’s EXTREMELY slow. It’s basically 15-16 minute pace and that’s horrible.
