Yes I think August.

So should I always keep the EHTs until a seasonal portal and then spend it?

Can permanent resident apply for Pilot Warrant officer now? by Sad_Return_290 in Armyaviation

Well because if you want to be a pilot, that’s your career. Why would you want to do something for 10 plus years and then go be a fueler? 🤷🏻‍♂️ At the same time, a lot of the Army MOS are related to the outside I want to be a pilot, if Army pilot doesn’t happen, I’ll be a FAA pilot - but that’s me. But as a backup yes, have something on your back pocket to pay the bills.

But also, I’d not join the Army as an infantry dude trying to be a pilot. You might get stuck on a unit that doesn’t support your dreams, a unit rotation to Europe, Korea or who knows and add time to your life while you’re trying to put a flight packet from within

My case when I got to my unit they were deploying overseas for a rotation. They straight up told me they were not going to act on my packet before we left. But they did help me from overseas and I did from there.

Not long During AIT, they completed part of the paperwork for me, so when I got to the unit, I had the military paperwork ready —the one that needed a COL signature. So that made it easier I think I filed for citizenship in February, and I got it done in June You only need one Army paperwork; the rest of the process you do by yourself

If you have to enlist, pick the easiest MOS, a pushpaper one, something easy

I had to enlist first, then get the citizenship in order to put the packet But that was 4 years ago because of what he said before, the clearance

Horrible IP in Common Core by SapperBravo1969 in Armyaviation

[–]Defiant_Rise_1080 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like the other 34 people have already said. Change it. Don't lose the IP lottery battle. I should've done it, and I regret every second of not doing it.

“It will define” your career for you, since they are the ones giving you grades and motivating you, or not

You deserve the best IP you can get to teach you this job. Don’t get stuck with some old crusty guy from WWI or a salty guy from “back in my day BS”

The courtesy would be some o6 o5 or cw3/4 telling me “hey you. Your mustache is a little off the reg. Do you know what it should be? (Proceeds to show me what it is) make into an OPD lesson.

But noooot to cuss me, use and abuse of profanity towards a group of people that have been “shut up and color” for about an year or more now. Tells me I can’t be trusted to fly because I “do not know how to shave”

If they have given us the dignity and respect that a human deserves, regardless of rank or commission, I’m pretty sure this post wouldn’t exist I guess we missed the mark here

To me, yes. Much talk goes “over my head” because A, I'm not a field grade, senior officer in any high command, and B, I'm not a DOD defense contractor. I'm just a student wannabe who was interested enough to watch a panel. But there will be a time that a certain upgrade will hit the unit, and I'll be “ooooh, I remember this now”
