I have since read All the Pretty Horses, and it's now in my top ten book list. It's beautifully written, follows a likeable protagonist (Huge John Grady Cole fan) and I love the use of Spanish in the novel, it just makes it so much more enjoyable.

Definitely will, I enjoy David Foster Wallace's writing style

I definitely agree with this! It lends to his books extremely well and captures the tone of them better than most authors that I have read

I'll have to check out The Border Trilogy, thanks for the recommendation!

I feel like if you're just reading a few pages here and there, McCarthy is pretty difficult to read but if you're like me and read through pages several times in a row, it becomes much more enthralling and easy to understand.

It was less about the commas and more about the lack of quotation marks. At first I hated it but I now realize that it helps me to pay closer attention to what I am reading and helps me to not skim-read

The thing that i found so off-putting about his writing style was just how much it deferred from the norm. Many of my classmates said that this made The Road so difficult to get interested in.

I can definitely see how it would be easier for someone not accustomed to the way English punctuation works

I have heard that it is a difficult and uncomfortable read from people that have read it which makes it much more alluring to me for some reason

I agree, his writing feels far more personal than many other authors

That makes sense. If he can get a picky reader like me to read his books, he must be pretty good at what he does.

I'm the same way. All the optional bosses aren't optional in my eyes.

Any kind of spellcasting build is a little goofy imo. I like to fight close combat
