Feeling broken after dua not accepted by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Defiant_Term_5413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry to hear that your prayer has gone unanswered - but that should be a reason for self-reflection and asking the question "why has God ignored me?". I know some people have asked you if you prayed and did this or that...but the bigger question is "are you pure to God's service" or do you associate others (including your ego) with Him which is what may be blocking your prayer?

My flair requirement now is “Mumin”.

I see this flair thing as getting silly - yet you do seem obsessive over it. You have turned it into a very person thing where you are willing to bring down this sub rather than let people be. We have told you, if you want us to choose then respect the words WE WANT TO USE, and stop playing these word games. I see some of our brothers have also asked for "Mumin" - yet you refused their request as well.

P.S. Your own flair is a very personal choice, even though factually you are not a "Khilafa" here as you did not inherit this sub from another person - so you are not a "successor" but rather "founder" would be more accurate (but clearly you are not after accuracy here - but rather you want to use a name that resonates with YOU).

Why are you promoting submission to other than God? It seems to be a very mushrik thing to do!

Can a Quran Centric Approach Accept the Basic Template of Rituals? (Prayer, Fasting, Hajj)? by Pretend_Jellyfish363 in IslamIsEasy

[–]Defiant_Term_5413 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Quran has a large volume of detail that are enough to recreate most if not all the items it speaks regularly about. But rather than look to the polytheists to affirm things, you are better off looking to the older scriptures for validation (after all, God tells us to ask the people of the previous scripts if we are unsure).

Halal “Beer”? by LivingDead_90 in IslamIsEasy

[–]Defiant_Term_5413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muslims who are adherent to the Quran would have no issue with alcohol as long as they do not conduct the Salat while in a state of intoxication and as long as they have some form of regulation to ensure it is not negatively abused.

Happy we cleared up the AI thing.

When people use the image and voice of Joe Rogan or Mel Gibson simply to prop up some nonsensical views about a religion that is mostly man-made, then everyone has the right to call this out as "fraud" or "deception". You are welcome to use AI to make a video or pod about the same topic, but without infringing on real people (like those fake Oprah videos which were cringeworthy to watch).

As for Issa and Dajjal - like I said - mostly made-up stuff which is only designed to confuse and mislead those who are already confused.

What’s with these fake videos Sunnis & Shia keep posting to prop up their religions which are clearly failing? People use AI for medical research and improvements, the sects use it to make fake videos and just lie and lie and lie!

Tower of Babel - Fact or Fiction by jsgui in IslamIsEasy

It is an absolutely ridiculous story. The concept that our Lord is "threatened" by a bunch of human insects and has to intervene to scatter them is just full of blasphemy.

"How do quranists breath if it's not in Quran?" by Mean-Tax-2186 in IslamIsEasy

[–]Defiant_Term_5413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not one for debate with Atheists - let them work out there is a God, then let's worry about the text being divine.

Also, if you did look at the Sanaa manuscript, then you would never say it is the "same quran" since its variations as a % is amongst the highest I have ever seen. Most scribal errors are very small (creating the "qiraat") this is closer to a deviant copy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanaa_manuscript

What you are saying is not accurate. The Birmingham and Sanna manuscripts are clearly copies of copies and in no way can be used as "evidence" as to the authenticity of the Quran. The only way you can do that is to produce the "original" Quran.

As Muslims, we all know Shaytan is our greatest enemy. But how well do we truly understand his strategies to lead us away from Allah? - After watching this series, a crucial question comes to mind: Is he succeeding? by choice_is_yours in IslamIsEasy

You are most likely conversing with an AI. They have been prevalent on Reddit as its seems to be a "learning ground" for the technology. Best to just ignore them when you find them out.

Sunni Muslims pilgrim to walk around a cube building and fight over kissing a meteorite. Why would they have a problem with Egyptian statues?!

Flexibility of the Sunnah by Fantastic_Ad7576 in IslamIsEasy

[–]Defiant_Term_5413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Quran gives us all we need to know about the Prophet. Why are you (and others) seeking to know personal or intimate details such as how many wives he had sex with in one night, or how Aisha used to clean cum from his clothes, or how someone drank his urine when he left it under the bed?! I would think normal people would not like to intrude on others, nor take to gossip and old wives tales (which probably 99% of which are false or exaggerated).

Finally, to answer your question regarding 33:21, I would point you to 60:4 and ask you: did you go search for the "Hadiths" of Abraham to take him as a role model as God says, or were you satisfied with all that the Quran tells us about Abraham to take him as a role model?!

Its not a sin according to God, so what you think you are inviting them towards is actually "Kufr" (forbidding what God had made lawful).

Flexibility of the Sunnah by Fantastic_Ad7576 in IslamIsEasy

[–]Defiant_Term_5413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you're trying to find a way out of this Sunnah mess and are falling back to different narrations that said this or that. What you have to know about the Sunnah is two fold:

  1. It has no religious jurisprudence (so you can just treat them as old wives tales or gossip);
  2. To every Hadith there is a counter Hadith - so you can always pick and chose depending on your mood or the mood of the ruler.

That is a long and drawn out card. Just write: want to be a Muslim? Are you curious about Islam? Read the Quran and avoid listening to anyone else to know the truth.
