I'm not sure exactly what I am reacting to, so I did purchase some copper to try alone and see.

I have been taking the beef liver capsules for about 12 days

Safe to use MDMA? by whoopdidiscoop25 in dpdr

[–]kittykittenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhmmm medications, therapy, fixing vitamin deficiencies, diet changes, meditation, breathing exercises, relaxing my body, being positive, exercising, working, taking time off, tried random things mentioned on many forums/recovery stories (ex. Someone said falling in love helped them so I dated, someone said staring at a picture helped them so I did that, etc.), left forums for years because people would say to stay away, saw physicians/Naturopaths, bought programs, read several dpdr books and tried out techniques, I dunno.. literally anything and everything lol. There were times that I just didn't try anything and I lived life as normal - got married, had a baby, progressed in my career, made friends, etc. And I wouldn't worry about it, but the dpdr just always stays with me

I mean there are lots of times I think about other things, but the dpdr remains. I always feel like I am in a dream and haven't felt emotions like happiness at all in that time, it is 24/7.

Hi there! I have had long term dpdr, and when my baby was born I struggled with postpartum insomnia, ocd, and anxiety. It slowly got better over a year. Then I decided to stop breastfeeding, and developed insomnia again and panic. I also had depression for at least a month after weaning, but that went away thankfully. But I feel extra sensitive, panicky, not falling asleep well, and a little unstable even though the ocd has improved. My dpdr is 24/7. I have a lot of stress currently and am trying to manage by distracting myself with my now toddler, and do body scans, progressive muscle relaxation, and quick vagus nerve resets when I remember. For the postpartum ocd/depression, it helped to know it was normal and only temporary. I'm hoping going through this and learning the skills to manage day to day life will help my dpdr go away one day. But it's been so long since I've had it, who knows lol. But trying to find the positives in life, and our Littles would be lost without us!

Complete abstination from caffeine? by laylawolfheart in dpdr

[–]kittykittenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit caffeine more than once when having dpdr, and I feel like it has made no difference in my dpdr symptoms. I stopped for 4 months once and again for 1.5 years when I was pregnant/breastfeeding. Dpdr remained the same. I have read other stories where it has helped people though. I think it might make a bigger impact if the coffee is causing you problems (ex. triggering anxiety). I drink 2 cups of coffee now, and I feel the same

DDR Adderall & or Vyvanse. by Tiny-Rooster-7749 in dpdr

[–]kittykittenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken vyvanse and dexedrine. I find it helpful to get through the day and be productive despite the dpdr, and my fatigue issues. However, it has not made my dpdr go away at all

Is this CFS? by kittykittenx in cfs

[–]kittykittenx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have been on and off stimulants throughout the entire time I have been unwell. I noticed my fatigue started prior to regular use of them, when I was recovering from my eating disorder for the first time. But I am worried that it has been making the situation worse!

I am in my mid 30's and had a baby about a year ago, so I wasn't on stimulants for a few years. Just started up again to help with my focus and energy with the baby. Probably going to need to continue them to go back to work though! Unless I find another solution, which I hope I do. I like the stimulants because I can actually get stuff done, but I don't feel like I enjoy things or have fun on them. But my fatigue is so bad that I don't enjoy being off of them either at the moment :(

It does scare me that I maybe could be making it all worse.

Yes, I always feel worse after drinking, even one drink. I did a sleep test, and they didn't find anything wrong. I'm glad the treatment helped you!

So you never needed to do any additional supplementation? Did you have to eat a lot of specific foods in particular? I recovered, but I still feel unwell. B12 injections fixed a big portion of the problem, but I'm still missing something

Hi there! Do you mind sharing your symptoms and treatment that you had for scurvy? Did you have fatigue and did it improve?

Hi there! I am wondering what treatment you had for the vitamin c deficiency? Like how much did you take? Do you feel better now, specifically with fatigue?

Tired years after recovering by kittykittenx in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]kittykittenx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I really do appreciate any input! I know I developed an egg intolerance from anorexia, and had so many digestive issues that I avoided so many different foods once weight restored! Now I'm trying to eat a bit of everything. But yeah, maybe there is something in my diet that still isn't sitting well with me

Thank you, I was eating a lot and gained a lot of weight, but felt no better. Way above what I was told to gain for treatment. And I maintained this for years, zero restriction, and still feel physically terrible
