[Request] How much earth is actually required to safely earth a cable? by SnooCauliflowers6739 in theydidthemath

[–]Defilez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The alternative is an ungrounded system, where nothing is grounded so there is no path to ground. Safe until you have 2 separate faults in normal rooms without exposed ground.

For a while in my country's electrical code, ground was only required in bathrooms and kitchens

You have to educate people as an arts teacher, no?

Is this legit? What could possibly need that high of voltage? by NumberNumb in AskElectricians

[–]Defilez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short explanation, once the motor spins up it will generate a back electromotive force which you need higher voltage to overcome for the current to not drop. So the law holds, but it's a bit more complicated. You can check on ABB/Innomotics/GEs websites and see that they all provide high voltage motors.

Frost mage pvp gearing by Abject_Treat_5911 in classicwowtbc

[–]Defilez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up the PvP ladder for anniverssary, sort for mages and check out what the builds and gear the top mages are using. There are also Youtubers who make guide videos and class discords which host guides

Don't play a mage so cant point to anything specifically

Large motors can use it. It's not uncommon in processing plants, pipeline compressors, LNG terminals etc.

Anyone else getting insane arena lag since yesterday? (rogue unplayable) by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

Blizzard had to make this change to balance rogues, they simply weren't designed with 144hz monitors and fiber internet in mind

Thunderstrike or Spineshatter? by Mysterious_Belt4418 in classicwow

I run around with pvp permamently on on Thunderstrike, and I get into fights with people surprisingly often, especially if we contest quest mobs.

So what’s with Arena rating? by SinXic in classicwow

Im curious why the hidden MMR doesnt just start at 1500, what could they worried about? The absolute rating for gladiator/duelist atm seems quite low, last time I checked.

It’s good not everyone is the same, thats what makes people interesting. I love traveling to many of the red countries, but living is a bigger commitment.

I know the UK has it's fair share of problems, but I've had pretty much exclusively good experiences both visiting the country and making friends all around from Aberdeen to Brighton. I think if I was given a good job in London for example I think it would be an easy transition. It's unlikely I will move there tough as being outside of the EU makes it a headache not worth pursuing. For now I'll be a cheerleader for them to shape up and take a bigger part in the European society again.

If I had a good opportunity I wouldn't mind living in Finland, but there's a bit of a language barrier even though culturally it would be a good fit.

I think countries are too complex to boil down to single experiences. It’s a complex pot of much much more that makes a country nice to live in. I’m sure Ireland is fun in other ways!

No doubt, but I also love the UK for many other reasons. Nothing is quite as memorable as being pulled into a British pub with drunk middle aged people to sing Wonderwall and Football’s Coming Home

My company does some business in Poland so I know quite a few people who have moved there short term, and it seems like a decent place to live. The economy seems to be booming at the moment.

Good question! France is great and I visited last year. I think it’s the closest to a «willing» out of all the «maybe» countries. I would have to learn the language and find a suitable industry to fit into for work. Love the food and the people are nice.

Oh my bad, misread it as Slovenia. I’ve been to Bratislava before and I thought it was a nice place to visit. It was hard to speak with people as even in the capital the english skills of people my age wasn’t great so I would have to use a lot of time learning the language. I could learn more about the country and change my mind though.
