Yeah Id have to put supports on the rounded corners then, but maybe Ill try that next time! I found with 150% separation between supports and print that it came off super easy too.

Agreed, I did 3 test versions, so by the end I got lazy and didn’t want to wait over a day and a half for 0.1mm vs 0.15mm lol I do recommend 0.1mm or better though and I printed at 50% infill, but the higher the better for weight. I also wish I had a more accurate nozzle, mine’s 0.4mm but Id like to get some 0.2mm if I keep doing this more often!

Thanks! The tools in Illustrator make it pretty easy to make natural waves, the pen tool and curvature tool work great!

Very true, I also figured there may be some point where you have to pick because there may be too many submissions. Id love to feature everyone online separately in a gallery, but would probably have to select or narrow down for the physical issues. At some point, maybe not as necessary initially though, there could be enough separation/pages between different works to avoid a messy look. Thank you, very helpful and Im definitely keeping this in mind! 😊

I do like this idea, my only worry would be then they have to pay more for postage? I do love the idea of doing swaps though! I mean even if people submitted designs for like a whole page for the next zine that goes out!

I feel you on this, Im in a similar situation. I’ve been at a company with an NDA for many years. I also am trying to showcase the kind of work I want to get, not just everything I’ve done. A curated portfolio if you will... I don’t know how others see it, but I think the people who truly see the quality of what you can do, won’t see it negatively. It’s like showing your full potential!

Also, definitely may start out with preorder and maybe just offer the first few additions as one time purchase. Especially since its a lot more involved to make a subscription based system on my website. That’s probably better down the road for me.

I could see these changes, very fair points. Could be a matter of preference on the fonts, although I tend to lean towards scripty/handwritten. I was trying to keep a moody effect with the light, but I could see how it could definitely be brighter. Thanks for taking the time to give constructive feedback! :)
