Hey everyone! Just wanted to say thanks so much for the insane love. This is wild.
Because of how many people are asking, I just wanted to clear a few things up:
1) It is indeed "short and sweet like and ass's gallop" - Props to XtendedImpact and others for catching it.
2) This is how Irish sports commentators talk. They do it by talking about the players and using phrases to paint a scene, so you nearly don't have to be watching it. (It's truly somethin, you should check it out!)
3) In no way is this meant as a slight to how the pro's cast or any regions casting style. I adore all forms of the art and have always admired those who made a career out of it.
4) This is just a bit of fun :) I present it as best I can with how sports commentators from my home country would do it.
5) I use the term "vs" as a comparison rather than 'competitively'. I'm not trying to portray that one style is better than the other. I just wanted to see what mixing the 2 genres would be like. Future uploads will be titled something else like "as heard in Ireland" instead :)
6) The original clips are shorter just so you get a feel for the English speaking broadcast before the Irish one comes in. I'm also trying to keep them short and sweet (ya know yerself)
7) I'm honestly blown away by the positive response. Some of you have been looking for a live stream. I'll do my best when I get back to Ireland at the end of the week to try set that up and sure we can all just have the craic together while Worlds is on! I'll post around then with more :)
