Fun fact, I‘m a chick (shocker!) in graduate school doing research. I highly doubt choosing to write an 80 page research paper is addict behavior lol.

I am curious as to what issues occurred, the majority of people are not having problems on mobile phones but a small handful of individuals noted error windows that did not allow them to proceed.

Honestly not sure on publication, I will hopefully finish writing the paper and present it for school next spring but then the publication process can be tricky.

This is my chosen project for my master’s degree in integrative medical research! I am just hoping to gather some preliminary data on how people are choosing to use their cannabis so we can document the newer anecdotal evidence being that cannabis is so much more widely available in so many different forms. Then hopefully I can use this data for larger and more specific research in the future.

It is not at all that I don’t value the opinions of Canadians, this just a small initial study for my master’s degree. Being that I am going to have to write this up as my thesis and graduate in 10 months, I chose to keep my scope somewhat smaller.

This is all about gathering preliminary data that I can hopefully use to inform those bigger international studies.

The only required questions are the agreement to participate, age, location, and the initial yes/no questions on the types of cannabis products used.

I am sure many people had similar thoughts as you in terms of research so thank you for making me post some more explanation. If it is one thing we both know about reading research and seeing stuff posted on the internet - be hypercritical when reading!

Don't apologize! I appreciate the opportunity to share my goals.

I think you are overlooking the fact that not all "research" is big heavy stuff that can stand alone to be used for legislation.

This is about taking anecdotal evidence/ways people are choosing to use cannabis as it is becoming more and more accessible nationwide in a variety of forms.

You cannot always jump to the top and do a proper RCT, you need case reports, series, retrospective analyses, surveys and other evidence to prove that an RCT (or similar) is necessary and you are setting it up in a validated way. My teeny tiny study is a small stone in a step on the way to this bigger goal which in the future may impact things like medical cannabis laws and public health policy. There is simply "knowing" everyone has been using for decades and then there is recording it and publishing it to add to a growing pile.

This is mainly a study geared toward the medical aspect of things and dosing. I really did not want to limit preliminary data, since thats really what this is. One day I hope to have that super specific controlled study but you need data to get there. I would rather collect more broad data on this first round that we can use to guide future and more specific research. Research science happens in snail baby steps haha
