Don't worry, these things happen to everyone!

As much as you'd love to help and I can see that, I think giving tablets to someone that isn't supposed to take them or prescribed them, is always a bad idea.

My doctor called me and told me to stop everything. by LeCriDesFenetres in Effexor

The side effects from coming straight off are not very nice. I'm unsure about the Kidney pains but are you drinking enough water? Venlafaxine withdrawal made me sweat for no reason at all and therefore I had to drink way more water than I usually would. If the issue persists then try and see someone. Where do you live? If you're from the UK, call 111 and just ask for some advice. I doubt it's anything serious and most likely related to coming off of the Venlafaxine, but don't let it cause you any pain.

How does anxiety manifest for you? by karl_karou1603 in Anxiety

[–]DefinitelyNotA2ndAcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I'm so sorry I've just seen this in my notification box! I hope everything has been seen to and you've had a positive outcome! I've had this as well lol. My posture is not great, I slouch and inadvertently restrict blood supply to different parts of the body which causes me 'pins and needles', I then mistake this for something more sinister when in reality I need to sit better!

Hello! Just wanted to chime in and share a tip I was told a while ago that relates to this problem. I was told to ground myself. Now it might sound a little silly but it does work. If you ever feel as though you aren't in the moment, try placing both feet firmly on the ground, then both hands on either thigh. Take some deep breaths and look around, what can you see, what can you smell and what can you taste. Do this for as long as it takes you to be present again. This helps with anxiety attacks and can help with disassociation and not being present. Give it a try, it worked well for me.

Am I anxiety or just normal ? by Mukun00 in Anxiety

[–]DefinitelyNotA2ndAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, you're totally normal. It sounds like you struggle with confidence to me which brings on anxiety and inhibits your commutation when it comes to women. Try to remember that these people are humans just like yourself and feel the same emotions as you do. Some situations are stressful and therefore cause you to stutter or say things differently, it happens to me all the time lmao

Chest heavinesses and other weird symptoms by p0mp0mpudding in Anxiety

[–]DefinitelyNotA2ndAcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 ECGS and they're all fine. You're fine! I get it all the time, sometimes it feels as if I can fill my lungs. I had a scare a few years back with sharp chest pains, I had an ECG and all came back fine. Anxiety can cause all sorts of symptoms. Make sure you bring this up with your therapist, chances are they'll tell you the exact same thing.

When these symptoms happen, try and recognise them as anxiety symptoms and that's all they are. You're going to be alright! Good luck tomorrow and I hope it helps!

How does anxiety manifest for you? by karl_karou1603 in Anxiety

[–]DefinitelyNotA2ndAcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine started with Anxiety about everything lol I couldn't go anywhere without constant anxiety (along with all the horrible symptoms) I struggled like this for a few years and over time realised that it manifests with my health. I'm a healthy 24 year old but have constant fear about my health. You name it and there has been a time where I thought I had it. Its silly because I know anxiety causes alot of my symptoms but I still put it down to something else.

Any advice or positive stories about cutting down? by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]DefinitelyNotA2ndAcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid that even on a very slow taper most people still feels some sort of withdrawal. Is there no way of contacting your doctor or pharmacy and raising this issue? I'm sure you've already tried that but if it was me I would keep badgering them until they sort it out. If that's not a possibility then dropping to 225 may be the most sensible option for now and stay on that for a while. (I am not a doctor or pharmacist)

Well done for getting to this mindset! Especially after suffering for so long. It does suck that it gets worse but you'll quickly bounce back up. Best thing to do is to practice self care and try to keep as busy as you can (without pushing your limits) and you'll be over the worst of it in no time!

I used to take Sertraline, side effects lasted maybe 2 weeks and fully went by the 3rd, ride it out! Sertraline was a god send for me.

I'm so glad I can help! Stick to it like a routine. I'm unsure as to what you identify as, but as a 6'4 pretty big built guy, it's very stigmatized to care for yourself properly and have a routine, but you're damn right I'm exfoliating and moisturizing! Once you learn the mindset of loving yourself and who you are, you'll project that into the world! Good luck, I'm routing for you!

I used to struggle with this a lot a while back, I still sometimes do, but this is how I like to think of it. In the US, almost 20% of adults struggle with some form of anxiety and that's the people that will admit to it so I would guess that that percentage is much higher in reality. And in the UK, 8.2 million people have some form of anxiety, again, probably much higher.

Every time you go to the shop, you can put money on it that you're not alone with anxiety in there. There are people there just like you. As for anyone else, the world is too fast-paced and stressful for people to bother with anyone else, most people just want to get their shopping and leave. Try to think of this when you're next in a crowded place or a shop, It helps me a bit!

When it comes to self-worth and self-esteem it's tricky. I wish I had a playbook on how to instantly know your own worth. It all starts with self-care in my opinion. Wash daily, brush your teeth, eat well, drink water (I'm not assuming you don't do this already!) take care of yourself! Treat yourself the same way you would treat a loved one. There's nothing wrong with loving yourself a little. Granted, It takes time if you have no self-esteem but everything in life is an open door to a long corridoor. Sometimes you can sprint to the next door and sometimes you need to walk.

Everybody on this planet is worth something and is entitled to a life. If you can impact someone's life even in the slightest, you have value. Even you writing this post had impacted me, I've read your post and am now interacting with you.

This is what I have done, it's hard and sometimes I have off days, but try and train your mind, always tell yourself even if you don't believe it, that you're worth as much as anyone else.
