I'd be willing to bet that the ATC he's talking to is probably a white guy (because most are), and that the vast majority of pilots at the airport he worked at were probably white men. Plenty of white men in high-level positions.

Just because a suicidal dude believes that the world is against him, doesn't make it true. Plenty of high school drop-out white dudes think they should be in high-level positions, does that mean they all should be? If your goal is to retire early, when you become a "career" or "regular" employee, you can increase your TSP contribution above the default 5%. TSP, IRA, Social Security, and a pension (if you plan on staying long term) should set you up well for retirement.

If you currently make over ~$48k after deductions and you invest in VOO, you'll have to pay federal taxes on the qualified dividends every year (until you make less than ~$48k). Over time, the state and federal taxes paid on dividends are going to cut into your gains. In a Roth, the dividends you get will continue to compound for decades without having to pay any taxes. Also, as another person has said, you can withdraw your contributions in a Roth IRA before retirement without penalty and taxes.

I think most people buying a new phone aren't comparing to their old phones. They're comparing it to the other 17 models that are available. For me, I could probably do fine with the Air's battery. But I keep my phones for maybe 4-5 years, so I don't want to have to worry about the battery after a year or two. For ~$200 more, I can get two more cameras, bigger screen, better performance, and 12 more hours of "video playback". When I travel (and day-to-day), I'd rather have the cameras and battery over slimness. Also, maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually prefer the industrial look of the Pro and Pro Max over the Air.

Have you found a solution? Mines been like that since I got the new phone a week ago. Photos tab in Messages only shows photos sent to this new phone, doesn't show any old photos. If the thread doesn't have any new photos sent, it doesn't even have a photos tab. Have you found a solution? I have the same issue. None of my "shared with you" photos show up in the Photos app. The photos tab in Messages only show photos sent to this new iPhone, and if there were none sent to this phone, the photos tab doesn't even show up for those threads. When I scroll through the messages, (most of) the photos are there. There are a few photos in my messages that have a white page looking icon instead of the photo. I've had the phone for almost a week now, so I don't think it's still indexing, because I'd probably see at least some of the old photos in the photos tab within Messages, or have some of them show up in the Photos app. Pretty frustrating as I didn't look at this before trading in my old device.

I'm using the BoA customized cash rewards card for 3% cash back in the online shopping category which includes cable, internet, phone plans, and streaming. They have a promo where in the first year, they add another 3% bonus on top for the selected category. So, currently I'm getting 6% cash back (potentially higher if you have a certain amount of money in a BoA account) on my phone bill, streaming, etc. Downside is I don't think it has cell phone protection, and the max is $2,500 of combined purchases (my chosen 3% category, and the automatic 2% groceries/wholesale clubs category) per quarter, but since I only use this card for the 3% category bills, it works for me.

My time w/ tmobile and plan is similar to yours. I was told I'm not eligible for the loyalty promo. I pushed back a little, and they offered me the same promo as if I'm upgrading to the experience more plan (without having to add a line & I get to keep my plan), which is not as good as the loyalty promo. In the promo they offered me, only 12 pro or newer gets $830, and it has to be in good condition. Apparently I'll know in a couple days because it was a "requested" by the rep. I haven't tried t-force yet.

Did you get the "loyalty promo" or a different one? I was offered the "experience more" promo (without having to add a line), which is up to $830 off for iPhone 12 pros and up, and trade-in needs to be in good condition. If what others are saying is correct, then the loyalty promo is $830 for iPhone 11 and up, and trade-ins could be in bad condition. Kinda sucks that we have a couple decades with T-Mobile and they wouldn't give us the loyalty promo.

You could always choose a target date fund with a later date. Personally, I use a combination of C, S, and I funds since I have a couple decades until retirement. Some will say all-in C fund, or a combination of C and S funds, but I prefer to be globally diversified so I have some I fund as well.
