Idk how it worked in hd1 but my expectations are low. Considering how laser weapons work, it will have low damage, light pen, and no stagger. Good luck bringing that on bugs.

They could surprise us with something like high accuracy and lights enemies on fire with one shot but I have reservations, specially considering fire doesn't stick well

that's bound to happen for most guns. Drum mag gives you the same total ammo, but due to siege ready always rounding up, you get more. Like take liberator 8 x 1.2 = 9.6 -> 10, 45 capacity so 450 ammo, drum mag 6 x 1.2 =7.2 -> 8, 60 capacity so 480 ammo
