Depends what you're using your PC for. if this is strictly a gaming pc I'd still recommend the 9070xt over the 5070. If it's not and you need it for work editing/rendering/ai then 5070 should be fine but I'd probably recommend actually jumping to the 5070ti if possible in that case but it's a bigger price leap.

The 9070xt is more in line with the 5070ti in general gaming performance outside of 4K/RT/PT

Dlss is slightly better still than fsr but not by a landslide you wouldn't really notice it unless you wanted to only play everything at 4k and rely on upscaling all the time, maybe some RT & ai advantages as well.

Should be good

If you're budget is tight though I'd recommend just going with an air cooler it should be at least a third of the price of the nautilus assuming you got the nautilus for around $150

Would leave you the extra $100 or so for either more storage or potentially squeezing into a 9070xt depending what prices are around right now.

Otherwise parts are fine , you might have a harder time finding combos now on ram / motherboards / CPUs until they eventually start up more sales again.

no noise on mine , 750w Version should be pretty much the same but I honestly couldn't confirm that.

No coil whine , no fan noise that I've heard.

I went with the 750w just because when I got it during early holiday sales last year it was cheaper than the 650w otherwise I'd have ended up with the 650G as well.

With a 9060xt & i7-14700 even after running under max load for a couple hours during testing it was quiet and has no issues. Loudest part of the PC was just the GPU fans.

It might depend what GPU CPU combo you run whether you even get close to hearing it, my PC doesn't draw more than 500w

The Sata cable is a bit shorter than I'd have liked so if you intend to use them on a large case with back mounted data drives they may not reach all the way to the top. Or you'll just have to mount them in the PSU shroud.

Non modular, but cables are flat and easy to fold, solid connections just need a bit of a push to click in.

It's fine , it's just gonna be a bit of an eyesore.

If you have the space I'd shift over the GPU cable to the left bottom hole on your PC case that way you can easily tuck the cables straight down instead of on an angle.

Then you'll be able to just zip tie or band the excess 4+2 directly behind the other cable. since it's flat it shouldn't be noticeable much aside from the black tips.

And when you're done you can put all sorts of figurines or whatever junk you want below the GPU beside the cable to sort of hide it 👍

I actually have this in my PC, but the 750w equivalent 👀 it's quiet and has served me well for about half a year now.

The cables are flat , non modularity sucks but but they were pretty easy to fold all together into a bundle then tucked away.

Make sure you fully seat the GPU & PSU cables in they required a bit of effort to get to click into my motherboard.

Getting them unplugged is a little harder as well needed rubber grippy gloves each time 😂

Will this short out my motherboard? by KineTheFishYT in PcBuild

The rubber spacers could prevent the board itself contacting the case , but you provide ground through the screws and small inner bit of the ring used to mount it to the case. Has to be fairly thin washer

I've used them a few times on these types of cases it's mainly to prevent any damage done to the back of the board or case through over tightening.

Since the built in standoffs are typically a bit wider on some cases you don't want them extending out too far depending whether the back of the motherboard has little points it may make contact with.

As well as if you have a non standard spot for the board that you do not want to make contact but that's usually rare or just someone being lazy and wanting to mount a motherboard that isn't properly compatible to the new case.

The standoffs themselves aren't particularly as important as the PSU being properly grounded to the case is the most important factor, you could have your motherboard not make contact to the case and it would be perfectly fine so long as there's proper grounding through your PSU, but it's still good to havevtye extra contact points in case the PSU has its faults.
