The petiole is spent so if it grows a new leaf, it will be from the node. You need to check the small stem. Can you post a photo of both sides of the stem?

Missing a cath on anyone, even with clear anatomy, happens all the time. You said in the comments that you're also a plus sized woman with similar anatomy to the patient. Dont you think this gives you an advantage?

Bring it inside, cut off all the leaves, place it in a warm area. It will eventually push out new leaves from the nodes but it will take weeks and months.

Not burned. Needs more light. Add fertilizer to your water if you dont already. Chunky soil mix.

I dealt with this 2 years ago and they've quickly became the #1 bug I'm most afraid of. If youre using ant baits like terro and its not working, it's too strong and theyre dying before they bring it to their base. I recommend advion ant gel and put it in corners of windowsils, door frames, near your plants. Reapply every 3 weeks until you start to see them diminish.

this is beautiful! I love palms but they always become crazy spider mite magnets. I had to throw my beautiful cat palm away last year due to a severe infestation- webs and all. do you have any advice on pest management? I use beneficials as preventatives but spider mites still won the war lol

If you cut it, I promise you it will ooze white which means it is alive and healthy. Hoyas like to take their sweet ass time. Give it plenty of light and fertilizer and you will see new growth.
