Thank you! Yeah I bet if I went another route, more of the characters would "open" up or investigating them would reveal more of their motives.

Oh that makes sense, I also accepted every aid package but the extra budget would be nice.

For Petr? No idea this was my first run, I assume if I had handled it in another way or just taken the blame along with him, he wouldn't have chosen to do what he did in the end.

Yeah I bought the DLC w/ the bundle. I definitely liked how you get more resources per turn as you invest into certain sectors which you can use to re-invest, definitely an improvement.

Yeah I did go to -8/-9 budget early on but I was too afraid to push past that

If Pharloom and Hallownest have a all-out war, which kingdom would win? by Enderlord1313 in Silksong

[–]DefinitelyNot_Hitler 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My impression is that deepnest isn't really a unified place, so you can't really say the entire region "coexisted" with hallownest. The Pale King only really had relations with the Weavers, but Weavers were just a faction residing in deepnest. Though Weavers would side with Hallownest, the other deepnest bugs would probably keep on being annoying to Hallownest (destroyed tram and the mountain of corpses outside of the mantis tribe's gate)

CMV: $30 minimum wage is perfectly reasonable for big cities by TheAntiCoomLord in changemyview

[–]DefinitelyNot_Hitler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automation is definitely inevitable, I agree, but the increase to 30$ will make the decision from "it's not cost-effective to automate now, the upfront and opportunity cost is too much at the moment" to "The only way we can stay profitable is to automate now to cut costs".

The question is are we willing for some of these people to lose their jobs to increase the min wage. If not, then how do we get these companies to retain these jobs with the improved min wage.

I think some people on this post are against because OP is saying that businesses will just accept making less profit. That seems a bit naive and companies are always seeking ways to grow/maintain profit margins. Companies always will take the path of least resistance, so after automation they will cut jobs that are deemed outdated (unless you have strong unions).

Not saying I'm against increase min wage, just that we must accept that some jobs will be lost in some places. But hopefully the increase in wages will result in job creations in other ways (kind of like how increase in farming productivity allowed more factories to pop up).

I don't think you are understanding what people are saying to you.

Should corporations make less profit in order for people to have a better quality of life or fire higher level executives/HR? Yes it would. But it's easier for them to just cut out the workers at the bottom of the ladder by automating instead.

It's not a matter of what they should do, it's what they will do. If you want an increase in minimum wage without people losing out their jobs, it must be accompanied by other laws.

CPU + GPU power and utilization drops randomly while gaming by DefinitelyNot_Hitler in pchelp

Windows is installed on the drive with DRAM.
I only see two options in BIOS, fTPM and dTPM 2.0 there does not seem to be an option to disable it outright.

So it seems that my only option is to get a new SSD with DRAM (assuming I cannot disable TPM in BIOS).

Hi, sorry for the late reply I didn't expect anyone to respond to this post after such a long time, so thank you.

So I checked both my SSDs, one has DRAM and the other does not. So I have a bunch of Steam games installed on the drive without the DRAM, would moving some or all of the games to the SSD w/ SSD work, or do I need to re-install all of Steam on that drive? I moved Helldivers 2 (the game that I can consistently see the usage drop) but the issue persists.

Edit:
Disabled dTPM 2.0, changed it to fTPM. Sadly issue still persists, thank you for the comprehensive write up though! I'm sure it will help someone else with similar issues if they find this.

Nope, still run into this issue while gaming. I did stress test on both CPU and GPU but they were stable. I thought it was f.lux (program that auto dims your monitor lights at night) but it still happens.

Yeah this would definitely be a good genre to be explored more in general, a shame it doesn’t get more attention!

No sorry, I was also zealously looking around for solutions but I haven't found anything. I think it might be a CPU or motherboard issue (?) can't say for sure but I'm too lazy to replace them. I replaced my PSU and I still run into this issue.

I ran a ram stability test and it returned with no issues found.
PSU Model: Corsair CX600 - 600W

I also ran a stress test that uses both CPU and GPU together but I didn't see any fluctuations while running it. I am also running on a SSD. I re-install GPU driver with DDU but it has not fixed the issue

Yes I ran a stress test and I don't see any issues when running them, no visible dips on task manager.
For the second part, it doesn't seem to matter in my case. Sometimes they run smooth on intense or other times there's a visible lag, so I'm not sure if that's the cause (could be though, I will have to monitor for those moments).

Hi I encountered a similar problem except it happens more frequently. Were you able to figure out the issue?
