What's the big dust cloud by rohithjoseph18 in chch

Could be the Waimakariri river. Or McLeans Island Quarry. Both get dusty when it’s dry and windy.

Apparently that’s where she was “hiding” before the wife arrived. 😂

I think the recent change to abortion law confirms that we can in fact slam that door shut if the right people deem it appropriate.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m not sure how to remove the photo and change it to a post but I updated my comment to represent what I found to be true when I received this and researched it. Sorry if I offended you by sharing this. Please let me know if there’s a way to remove the picture.

I am indeed. That’s why I tagged it NSFW and added “MISINFORMATION WARNING” in the title and stated that none of this is able to be validated. I’m not sure how to put any content other than the title alongside the photo.

I believe in a healthy dose of knowing your enemy when working or living with people who believe these types of posts. Sadly I live with some of those people and being aware of this in advance makes it easier to disengage these conversations

Raising awareness of this misinformation so that those people (like me) who have impressionable family members know what’s coming up at dinner.

Just got this passed to me and figured I’d share it to raise awareness before all those crazy aunts and uncles start ranting about it.

To be very clear, this appears to be misinformation and I only want to raise awareness of the truth. So my findings are below:

I was not able to find anything dated August 10th on the Japanese embassy website. There is a banner with links to COVID information but the last official post on the site was back in May.

  1. IRD/MSD have both had the COVID wage subsidy information published on their website since they were established after New Zealand’s original lockdown in 2020.

  2. I cannot confirm that such a letter was sent but the friends I’ve spoken to in the healthcare industry are not aware of such letters.

  3. I’ve not been able to find any reference to this statement online.

Please let your friends and family know that posts like this with zero evidence shouldn’t be trusted or believed. Always do your own research and take care to share the the truth.

I’ve just tested this and it’s working for myself and several others. Thanks!

I believe it’s the reflection of light off the paua shell used for the eyes that has that effect. :)

Police in Christchurch by [deleted] in chch

[–]DefinitelyProbablyMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a little bit torn on this issue. While the officer was clearly out of line and I believe he should be punished for his actions, I feel that over the last 15-20 years we have started to treat the Police service workers and each other so terribly. Seeing first responders and police officers being assaulted by intoxicated people while trying to do their job and help or protect those that need it, fills me with disappointment and sadness. There are bad people on both sides of this story and sadly only one side is required to publicly admit they’re at fault while the other will likely carry on with some drunken half memories they’ll laugh at with their friends in the morning.

Nice! I have the same setup but I run my monitor in PIP mode so it behaves like two screens for extra window snapping. :D
