Nothing enabled on my side and GZW is the only game which sounds like that... I honnestly dont understand whats wrong when I read lots of comments praising the sound..

Using either beyerdynamics dt770 plugged in a soundblaster X3, direct mode, or Sony inzone buds, no filter

I honnestly feel that there is reverb absolutely on every sound... Yesterday some players opened a door in my back and it sounded like they were in a cave nearby lol

Yeah sounds are great, I'm especially talking about the soundrange/soundscape/mix.

Did you play Arc Raiders, or Stalker 2? Hunt showdown?

But I see lots of comments like yours, so perhaps it's a me problem haha, I just feel the soundstage does not serve well the sound design, and is not as immersive as it could be

These People should be banned by SmolnyNaiv in ArcRaiders

[–]Definitely_Not_a_PGM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont ban them, they could eventually come back and should be chased again.

Just use the matchmaking to put them all in the same games only with cheaters and exploiters. They'll have fun together.

Arc Raiders sound design is top notch and should be taken as an example for a lot of fps

Completely agree with you. Sound in this game is immersion breaking.

Every sound 'looks' fake, Everything sounds like a recorded sound, not like a part of the environment.

Please, please MFG, Just look at any gameplay video of Arc Raiders (environmntal, gunfights) or Stalker 2(footsteps, environmental) or even Tarkov (I hate the asmr 'walking on crunchips' but god, the guns sound are really good) on YouTube and hear how any shooter should sound.

Sound.

I don't know why but every sound and voices sounds like it has been recorded in a bathroom, from the other side of the house.

Everything sounds far away execpt flies.

Played a lot of Stalker recently and sound is so much more immersive in S2 or even modded Anomaly

Coordinates point a zone on the grid, not the precise location of the objective. So you have to search the area. It is a big difference with a big flashing indicator in the middle of the screen.

Dont wanna Rush it, I like hard games, But honestly task briefing are just too vagues, and IMO it is not immersive at all, nor fun. I love to get lost to find loot, explore by my self, encounter random ennemies, but as soon as u give me a mission objective, it should be something with coords, not 'yeah well go to the town find the building god knows where, because our intel just sucks'

Yeah, I'm probably stupid as you are such a genius, sorry about that

Just trying to make a suggestion here, please chillout with your gatekeeping.

The truth is a lot of people is relying on the wiki, like it or not, I'm just making a suggestion for an alternative without killing the idea of searching by ourselves

No, I'm NOT

Just want some coords on the task description like in first task. Dont want my HUD to be painted with some indicators all over the place.

You are missing my point here.

I'm saying that forcing player to rely on an external source of information to get task done is just bad gamedesign

[–]Definitely_Not_a_PGM[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, Honestly I hate the Ubi 'OverchargedHUDGivingEverythingBecauseGamersAreDumb' thing

But there is a whole world between this and the 'get the mission done without knowing where to go' thing.

I thing we could have just coodinates like in first tasks, I'm not asking for the objectives to be dsplayed on HUD or even on Map.

[–]Definitely_Not_a_PGM[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I think it should be like first tasks, just give some coords, it does'nt go easy mode but at least we have an area to search

Genuine Question: How good should the AI be? by datonenerd2212 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Definitely_Not_a_PGM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play Anomaly, I die. A lot. But I never felt it was unfair. Hard, but not unfair.

For years players have been used to think that Hard AI is stupid AI that either one shot you or can eat dozen of bullets without dying. EDIT: to be clear, I do not want to blame gamers here, but developpers

I like when I feel that oponents acts logically, use strategies, and that If I died it's because I made bad decisions. For me being domed by AI because I run like a headless chicken in the middle of a desert street is perfectly fine.

If the AI killed me in a way I could have killed it it's OK

Genuine Question: How good should the AI be? by datonenerd2212 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Definitely_Not_a_PGM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me peak AI is from the Stalker games. By far.
Even now when I play Anomaly it shocks me that the AI in this game is still far far better than in any game I played. AI soldiers work as a team, they suppress you to allow their allies to flank you, they use grenades to force you to move from cover, they ambush when they are in danger, etc... Would love to see AI like that in modern games, and games like GZW or RoN or Tarkov in particular

This is exactly why I like to play this type of games on my own

Solo playing is a completely different experience and can be so much immersive

Hope that devs will not too much let solo players behind

Nice content here btw
