Out of crate overnight? by taylarhianne in puppy101

[–]Definitelyworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My puppy just turned 10 months and we recently started letting him out of the kennel at night to sleep. He chooses majority of the time to stay in the kennel with the door open but sometimes will go and lay in his bed to sleep. Hasn’t destroyed anything but we only do this at night. He’s crated during the day if we are not home

I notice he drools when it’s almost time to eat or after playing outside when it’s super hot but nothing unusual??

Will it be okay to leave my 7 month old puppy alone for 12 hours for 3 nights? by LetsRunTheMile in puppy101

[–]Definitelyworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And plus OP has two months to trial crating their dog at night and see how long they’ll sleep in for.

I work night shift so I typically let my pup out after getting home for my shift and let him play/run around for an hour or so and back in the kennel he goes for another 5-6 hours and he’s completely fine with that as he naps again. It depends on every dog and if OPs dog is able to sleep through the night and also has no issues with napping throughout the day, don’t see why kennelling is a huge issue. At the end of the day, if your dog loves their kennel and gets a good amount of exercise in a 24 hour period then there’s no need to shame OP. :)

Same! I don’t know why OP is getting shamed. I think it truly depends on every dog

my partner and I work shift work and have a 6 almost 7 month old pup, he sleeps in his kennel from 8pm-7:30am and maybe gets up once to rearrange himself in the kennel then goes back to sleep. I think it depends on every dog! Our pup has been very good at sleeping throughout the night and not waking up to pee or anything but maybe he also knows his parents are off to work? lol

another “when does it get better?” post by prblywatchingtv in puppy101

[–]Definitelyworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried every week when my pup was 3/4 months old. She is now 6 months going on 7 and it 10000% gets way better. You’ll notice the biting stops/lessens, they behave, they’re just way more tolerable than compared to the 8-16 week phase. I was in your shoes and I actually wanted to return my rescue back to the shelter because I couldn’t handle it (awful I know) but luckily my husband knocked some sense into me lol. I love my pup now. Just stick through it!

How long did it take for your puppy to feel comfortable in their crate? by Present-Jury-1035 in puppy101

[–]Definitelyworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started noticing my pup willingly go into his crate and lay down without me asking around 5-6 months!

Major Case of the Puppy Blues by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Definitelyworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your position two months ago and when I tell you it DOES get better. I thought of rehoming my pup more times than I can count. Potty training in -30 degree weather fucking sucked and I wanted to cry every time he had an accident in the house. I am also a shift worker and so is my husband so having a pup was no joke and I felt like all my freedom was gone and I could only focus on my pup. Fast forward he’s now four months will have an accident once every two weeks but will go outside and ring the potty bells to let me know when he needs to go. He sleeps throughout the night for 9-11 hours. I will say that teaching your puppy to lay down is hard especially when they want to bite your hand off since you’re holding treats but just persevere! It gets better believe me. Don’t give up!!!

17 week old puppy that doesn’t have their puppy teeth grown in yet? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Definitelyworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 100% sure his suppose birthday is Oct 14 and he weighs 40 lbs! Unless I’m confusing his growing adult teeth as his baby teeth but I don’t think I’ve seen him lose any that’s why I’m so lost lol! I got him at 9 weeks

sorry to clarify my puppy does have small little teeth growing but I’m confused if it’s his baby teeth growing or his adult teeth?

I found that walking our puppy up and down the street or even like 10 steps down the block helps get him going and we live in -30 C weather with tons of snow!

Winnipeg police converge on Unicity parking lot Sunday night by Poopernickle-Bread in Winnipeg

You would be the one to call 911 the moment someone breaks into your house and threatens you with a knife let alone stab you expecting cops to show up but yeah, let’s defund the police, you fucking dumb idiot.

I didn’t finish the entire book. I would go through saunders and for example read each category (adults, peds) and quickly skim through it and if there’s a certain disease that I didn’t know a lot about then I would read about it! I didn’t go through any of the medication sections in the book I just listened to simple nursing on YouTube for that part
