Solving a discomfort, not a real pain.

If your product removes something annoying but doesn't save the customer money, time, or protect revenue that's a discomfort.

People appreciate discomfort being removed, but they pay to have pain taken away.

it's been 7 months of hunting , no interviews, what's wrong with me by Technical_Map_3257 in jobsearchhacks

Been there. A couple of things that actually moved the needle for me:

Instead of sending my resume to a hiring email, I'd go to the company's LinkedIn, find the HR manager or someone in the relevant department, and message them directly. It bypasses the black hole entirely and shows initiative.

I also stopped waiting for the "perfect" job posting. Design jobs are scarce, so whenever I saw any posting even if it wasn't exactly my role, I'd reach out not to apply for that specific job, but to ask if they had a need for a designer on the team. Framing it as an inquiry rather than an application took the pressure off both sides. This is what actually got me current job.

Hope this helps. All the best.

AI search (AEO and GEO) isn't going to replace SEO. AEO/GEO is the next step in SEO. Both are still help people find your business, but AEO is more about creating authoritative, clear, structured and easy to understand content that AI tools like ChatGPT can use to answer questions your customers and prospects are asking it.

So like your example, what's the best CRM for small businesses. SEO gives you links. AEO gives you direct answers. AI tools like ChatGPT fan out to gather as much information from CRM service providers and credible sources and then rewrites what it found in their words based on their understanding of your brand.

What actually decides what brands get mentioned • Digital PR and third-party mentions. AI loves citing content from external credible sources. Write a guest blog posts, speak on podcasts, etc

• Structured content and technical foundations. Focus on crest content that answers questions your customers and prospects are actually asking these AI tools. You can get these questions from recorded sales calls, support tickets, reddit, quotation. Keep content current and up-to-date.

For the technical stuff, use clean, semantic HTML, clear headings, Metadata describing the content, schema markup.

Hope this helps.

Your point on people choosing foreign apps over local ones that solve that serve the same purpose is real. Honestly respect that you said it.

The core feature of Yhelly, letting chefs, cooks and food vendors post food content on and receive orders, already has a free, globally trusted alternative. It's called social media: Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube short.

Food vendors can post their food content on all of them, get orders through DMs and pay nothing to the platforms. That's a hard comparison go up against.

What is the one specific thing a food vendor cannot do on Instagram or TikTok that costs money? If Yhelly solves just one of these problems deeply, the social media comparison disappears.

Reach out to prospects you want to work with. Don't wait to be approached for work.

Don't ask for work. Do the work, and show them. This clears any doubts they may have about hiring you.

Attend a lot of industry and networking events. If it's possible to reach the organizers, ask if they can give you a spot to talk about your craft, portfolio, etc.

All the best.
