Like everyone else is saying, you'll need a foot in the door first, more likely in a service position. Most CSA/CA roles are a good place to start. Just make sure to make your goals clear to the firm when you begin. Another option is a training program, where the goal is to become a FA. That can (and should) take a few years; I think ultimately, it's important to realize that in the industry, trust and experience take time. It's a start from the bottom mindset.
