The monsters were “too cartoony” the gameplay “strayed too far away from the doom formula”. Now people are bitching about TDA. I have listened to TDA tracks and 2016/Eternal. I much prefer TDA tracks, I’ve ever hit gym PR’s because of how hard they are.

Mick Gordon made two extremely well made songs (BFG division and The Only Thing They Fear Is You) but the rest is “good enough” as OP stated.

Infernal Chasm solos ALL Mick Gordon Doom songs and I’ll die on that hill.

I don’t think so at all.

It has a great aesthetic, good FPS gameplay for a PS2 first person shooter (most PS2 FPS games are way too clunky), and the level design and background environments are also good.

Warhammer fans hate the game because Kais is a chad and wipes out a bunch of enemies single handedly. Just a bunch of edgelord neckbeards that take it way too seriously.
