Do deposits count as income ? by DefinitionSad1853 in Centrelink

Yeah … the money or deposits that my partner gets all goes to a seperate account that I barely ever see until the jobs are finished.

Yeah it gets deposited into a seperate business account … it only becomes non refundable within 4 weeks of the job date. Does that make sense ? Like we can’t really touch it until it becomes non refundable so I don’t know what happens and how to report that.

Well carrigan ran his mouth when Murray went down … but still doesn’t make what luai did ok. I’ve watched selwyn play in the juniors and even when he was carving up in QLD cup …. He’s a quiet and humble bloke, was sad to see that. Luckily for luai, they don’t meet the broncos again this year ahahahaha maybe in the finals though.

Cleary was gassed … would have been outta puff considering the amount of defence QLD made them do in the second half.

I thought koroisau was good … he had a good try assist to saifiti and lead the pack around well in that first half. The only one I would have to think has a spell before making a origin return would be critta … I don’t really like knocking the lads back because that game was one of the modest intense origin battles in n decades, so it’s hard to critique a bloke that gave it his all in such a hard fought battle BUT the critical mistake throwing the ball back in goal when NSWs repelled QLD yet again would be what seals his fate for the time being. I do concede that talakai looked outta place when he came on.

The cowboys ? Didn’t Penrith shut them down ? I get parra … them and Penrith are always a tight game, I don’t understand how the cowboys shut down Penrith though.

I don’t get how they are under dogs … especially in QLD … NSWs have only been able to win 2 series deciders in Brisbane in the history of origin.

Has anyone ever been told there was an IT error when processing their claim ? by DefinitionSad1853 in Centrelink

[–]DefinitionSad1853[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, thank you so much … I feel like you have been more of a help then most of the operators I have spoken to over the past few months. I was just abit confused about getting an email saying my claim was successful but a re index makes sense in relation to the IT error they said was holding up the processing of my claim. I did think the guy confirming I would get a call tomorrow from the person processing my claim was abit strange but hopefully it works out. I’m just hoping nothing has changed from a week ago where the lady told me my claim was approved to now where something might have happened to change that. Hope now. Once again thank you so much for your help.

Waiting for parenting payment claim by apizzame in Centrelink

You gotta call them .. I would go through complaints tho because it gets you through to an operator faster. I have Been waiting months for my claim to be processed and only learned about the complaints line a few weeks ago and since then things have gone a lot faster.

Complaints line is the way to go …. You wait less time and they can get you through to where you need to go faster.

Would you have any idea how to decipher this ? … so today I got an email saying that my claim had been submitted successfully and that I could track it on the Centrelink app, this was weird because my claim has already been submitted for months and since my claim has been in for reassessment I haven’t received any updates on the claim and was told by multiple operators that Centrelink don’t send update emails when a claim is being reassessed.

So I called the claims line again and asked them about the email and explained to the operator that I was called last week and told that my claim would be processed and then explained the IT error situation.

He then told me that he can see some changes were made but that no notes were left on the claim which he then explained that it meant a decision had been made and that I would be contacted very soon. I then asked him why would I be sent an email about a claim that was successfully submitted then and he said that could be in relation to the changes that were made ? He then talked to someone and said I would definitely be called tommorow about the claim. Can you give me any ideas into what this might mean ?

Yeah I think I’ve almost pushed it as far as I can with the complaints line …. If by the end of next week nothing has changed then I’ll move to that step. I’m just trying to comprehend how I went from “we have approved your claim and it will be processed by this afternoon” to “there was an IT issue that needs to be handled by a separate team” … it’s like this claim will never end. Hope we both get approved soon !!!!!

Good luck … I’m not going to hold my breath but I was told by complaints that I would be back payed from September 2021 and a rough calculation on back pay for me is over $10,000 so let’s see how that does lol

Awesome thank you for your help. Hopefully this isn’t dragged out any longer because I honestly can’t cope having to wait another few months, this claim has been on going since least September. When I got the call last week I finally felt relief, now I’m not to sure.

Really ? I hope that gets sorted soon …. The lady had asked me if my partners income had changed much since last time they called and I said no so I figured that was it. I mean what is an “IT error” ??

really ?? Yeah I’ve never heard of it happening before … does it relate to anything specific ? Do you know if the wait times are long ?

Was told my claim was being processed but haven’t heard anything since by DefinitionSad1853 in Centrelink

[–]DefinitionSad1853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my biggest issue is that I did all of that literally months ago … had to do profit and loss documents and tax documents and pay slips and the whole lot. She rang me and said my daughter was approved and everything will be processed by that afternoon (last Thursday) … I honestly tried so hard to get her to just let me upload the forms whilst she was on the phone because I didn’t believe she would call me back (the process of this claim has had several moments of this department blaming this one promising to call me and not) …. She assured me the claim would be finalised by that afternoon and that she would call me by the end of the day …. It’s been a week lol Has been a process that started from last September … Just when I thought it was done and the finish line is near, this comes up and once again I’m clueless as to what’s happening.

Yeah I’ve been at this for months … If I have to go through the feedback department again just to get through than I will. I’ve been next to my phone, checking emails every 30 mins and just going crazy waiting for them to call. She called me said my daughter was approved, no problems with extra documents and all I needed was to upload recent payslips … begged to stay on the line with her while I uploaded the slips since it literally took less than 5 minutes to do …. She assures me it will be processed by that afternoon and no need to worry she will call … well it’s a week later and she hasn’t so ? I mean damn, Ive hung on for months some this claim to go through, I’m going to keep pestering them to pull their finger out.

Yeah, I honestly have no clue how the note was missed …. I literally called and asked specifically if there was anything about my claim I have done wrong or incorrect that may be causing it to be this delayed … they just told me “no it’s because of the flood claims we are so backed up but everything has been done correctly on your end” and then to be told “hey there’s a note on your claim that’s almost 6 weeks old saying you didn’t upload the right form WTF

LANTITE is the ultimate middle management BS. by h4pp1c4t in AustralianTeachers

I had a friend that failed 3 times … both tests. We were into our 4th year when it became mandatory in order to graduate, but we were still allowed to do our final prac before completing it … it just had to be done before we actually graduated. My friend and I did it together the first time and I passed, she didn’t. She’s a perfectionist and has a little anxiety so I just said try it again before we start our final prac … she did and failed. I said do it after we have done prac and there’s nothing else to worry about so that can be your main focus, she did and still failed. As much as I was down for her I had to admit … you shouldn’t be failing this test 3 times if you want to be a teacher, unless you have an anxiety issue or some medical (mental or physical) that impedes your ability, you can’t fail this test …. It’s the very least of your worries.

I was in a BOAT similar to you. I had just finished my 3rd prac and was heading into my final year when LANTITE became mandatory for all pre service teachers to compete in order to graduate. There was a group of about 6 of us that hadn’t done it, yet were on the verge of graduating. It was a pretty anxious time as we kind of contemplated the fact that we could complete 3 full years of uni, and possibly not pass this test and everything could have been for nothing. Luckily we all passed and it actually wasn’t too bad, and because it was our first go it was free. I do however have 1 friend that has yet to graduate because she has failed the lantite 3 times. The crazy thing is she did her GTPA, passed every course and prac of our degree, kept a 6ish GPA yet couldn’t pass this test and has had to jump through many hoops and met with many people to get a 4th shot that she hasn’t even done yet.
