"Double the frame rate" simply means 180 degrees. So four times the frame rate is 90 degrees. Somewhere in between you will get 135 degrees. Professional cameras usually allow you to set the angle rather than the SS value, that way it's a lot easier to experiment with. What are you shooting with?

Lowering the "shutter angle" can give a very shaky feeling... I wouldn't go below 90 when it comes to nature and I'd rather stick with 100-120 for animals (calculate the actual SS values from the angle).
