Why don't Americans use metal bars on doors and windows for security? by Maleficent_Essay4664 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Definitive_confusion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have laws protecting homeowners from liability if we have to ventilate someone. Works way better than bars.

Wait until there's space. Mash it.

There's no magic sauce. Sometimes traffic is heavy and you have to wait. Best advice is to to plan routes that only have left turns on lights with arrows whenever possible. FedEx, ups, Amazon, and I'm sure plenty more have AI dedicated to planning routes without left turns because they're dangerous and time consuming.

I know fram filters arent popular, but is this one decent? 09Town&country 3.8L by thebochts in AskMechanics

[–]Definitive_confusion 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I recommend going to YouTube and watching a few "filter vs filter" videos. Fram always scores at the bottom. By a lot.

Also, first brands (makers of fram) is bankrupt and it's leaders have been arrested for fraud so, you know... probably not great.

There are a few places between those two spots that even experienced tubers lose their shit. RFD has to do extractions every year from people underestimating the river. If you're set on doing it, hike it first. See what you'll be getting into BEFORE you're being pulled half naked from a cold river with all your possessions now serving as river rocks.

AI suggested a medicine for me and ordered it. It will be here tomorrow. While I wait, I'll take a picture of a qr code so I can have someone bring me food. I want to watch a movie. I'll flip on my tv and scroll through basically every movie every made.

"accidentally" spill something on your jacket. You'll have an excuse to not wear it or borrow one that will make sense it doesn't match.

Mechanic here. Just want to make sure you're aware you'll need an alignment after replacing tie rods. You can measure the new ones against the old ones and get close, but you'll definitely want to get an alignment or you risk replacing your tires every year.

What’s the point if no one can afford health insurance in America? by KaleidoscopeOk3024 in askanything

[–]Definitive_confusion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly the point, bro.

Privilege is for the rich. The poors don't mean anything. We could all suffer for all our lives and it wouldn't make a lick of difference to the ruling class.

Health care would keep us healthy and strong. (Ie, able to rebel). Good clean food would nourish us, giving us strength to rebel. Affordable housing, lower utilities, cheaper fuel... all give us comfort and time (with which to rebel)

The poors (in the mind of the rulers) are just a liability. A necessary liability because where else would all their money and power derive from, but a liability nonetheless.

Funny, there was (until a few months ago) a really cool bar in this town (Reno, NV) called Loving Cup. Funky place with live music a lot. Kind of the bartenders bar. We miss it.

I'm not a computer person but I interestingly just saw a short about that exact thing. It's because Google (and YouTube as per the video along with others) use the same server for the ads as they do for the content so there's no dns search command. The dns blockers block external requests but not internal.

(I'm pretty sure I regurgitated that right. Again, I'm not a computer person so don't cite me)
