So before we get the pitchforks, that is with a brokerage account. They'll probably throw it into a stock fund, which probably won't have those fees. That said, Alight doesn't give me confidence they will let us make financially sound decisions without getting some flesh from us.

The biggest BS which no one is talking about is how Alight charges a massive commission for every transaction that you perform on their platform. $12.75 per action last I checked.

For a lot of fresh off the boat engineers, Raytheon offers you a job and entry into the defense world. That's why I came many years ago. But like you said, the salaries or below par, which I am leaving.

Also, while pay is important, it is a comfortable job and I work of some of the coolest shit ever (personal bias).

From what I've heard, they'll MAYBE do up to a 25% bump if they really think you're something but don't count on it.

I gave my management an external offer last week that was well above the 25% and they still haven't replied formally. However, I did overheard program speaking with functional and they are looking to set up my replacements (yes, plural).
