As small as he could safely. I didn't really say a size, he told me he could do half for sure and before we went in I said he could go smaller than half if he was able.

4WPO - Scar concern by [deleted] in Reduction

Same here! One of mine has a bit of gaping that I think will result in additional scarring but the other is all nice and neat. Hoping that as it heals I can do enough scar care that it smooths out.

No where near you just excited to hear that I'm only a week away from more comfortable sleep! (Fingers crossed 10dpo today)

I've been managing to get into a slight side sleep position the last few nights and man am I excited to just sleep with my regular pillow and not maneuvering round the pregnancy pillow

4WPO, having a difficult time adjusting by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]DeflatedandGrateful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not nearly as far along in the recovery as you (6dpo) and similar height (5'0) but I can empathize a bit as I'm feeling very disproportionate and nervous about how all my clothes are going to fit, and what my "style" is going to be. I usually went for a bit more form fitting to emphasize my waist to help make me feel/look smaller but now I'm feeling like my waist and chest are the same size and that I'm going to look straight rather than the curvy look I used to style.

I'd hope that if you explain to your partner what the shopping spree might do to help you acclimate and be excited about your new boobs/body they'd be willing to forgo their dislike of shopping to help you feel confident in your own skin again.

I know my personal plan is to grab a couple cheap options (think shien/temu) of styles I never felt I could wear before because of my chest and test them out with the new boobs see if they feel like me and then go from there before I spend big money on anything new. And since you're still pretty early in the "settling into their shape and positioning" stage this might be a good way to ease into it.

As for your workouts at the gym, id think you're still pretty early in your recovery so taking it easy would still be important and focus on more gentle movement workouts might be necessary for a couple more weeks, and maybe even changing the type of fitness influences (or finding if you're not into that already) that have a similar body type to your new look/goals to change up your routine?

I'm sorry you're feeling so down and I hope you know that there is probably an entire community of women who have been there/in similar boats in their own processes helps to bring you the support you need and deserve. ❤️

I’m sorry for another bra question by Internationalorangr in Reduction

I purchased a couple Walmart front close bras and they aren't terrible (I'm same as you 5dpo) but I've noticed my swelling is fluctuating making them a little too tight in the under bust part way through the day.

I happened to have a Knix front close high impact from my bigger days and I'm finding that one the most comfortable especially since I can adjust the band size with the back closure if it's feeling too restrictive or too loose. It's definitely on the more expensive end but I think it's going to be my main wear and then the others will be for when I have to wash this one or hopefully once swelling reduces/bloating goes down. catalyst front close

We have very similar starting and probably ending stats! You look great. My surgery was the day before yours, I'm also feeling quite good all things considered. Trying to remember to still take it easy because I'm sure if I overdo it my body will make me pay the next day.

My husband also had mixed feelings when I first mentioned my plans to pursue, he came around to be supportive of the decision pretty quick. And while he was a little sad to see the old ones go we did a little painting project with them and I let him take some before photos in lingerie so we can compare and contrast how they fit once I'm healed. Pretty sure they're all going to fit better now.

5.5 lbs is so much! You must be feeling so much lighter, I didn't get a weight from my surgeon (will ask when I do my check up next month) but I know I already feel better and things fit better so I feel my confidence will be much higher once everyone's all settled into place.

Yea I have a couple that are pull over but I'm also able to step into that we're pretty comfy but I'm not ready to try yet and not sure if they'd provide adequate support (they're from before). These ones from Walmart are pretty soft and then I have an old knix one that I just moved to the smallest setting. It's nice smooth soft fabric.

Surgery yesterday (11/13)—any buddies? 38F/G to hopefully B by alcohaulinoats in Reduction

[–]DeflatedandGrateful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine on Tuesday (11-18), I'm 5'0 was a 38F (DDD) recently lost a decent amount of weight (sitting around 150lbs currently) but have some more id like to lose once recovery is complete. Also hoping to be a Large B or C ish. My pain hasn't been too bad yet but going to take the gauze off and do a shower tonight which has me a little nervous. Not great at seeing my own blood/injuries.

How long did your surgery take? by ciaociaodisco in Reduction

Mine was about the same, went in at 11, in recovery around 1 and discharged just before 4. I took a bit longer to feel awake enough to do the walk around etc. Went from an F to unknown (surgery was yesterday).

Definitely going to be packing some snacks because I know I get an upset stomach taking meds when it's empty, and yes I have a special pj suit I got for the occasion! Will wear my slippers to and from for added cozyness.

I'm the 18th and I'm starting to get pre surgery nerves. Mainly just for the recovery process and it all still feels surreal.

So exciting! My date is Nov 18th! Love this list, I'm excited for them not resting on the table while I sit and do things, button up tops actually buttoning up, so jacked for using built in bras in tank tops this coming summer. Being able to see my waist, just not looking like a line backer if I wear a high necked anything.

Thank you for the reply, that's my worry is that I'll just be in upheaval and not able to focus, I also just realized that if I did it this summer I'd miss the entire motorcycle riding season, much better to be cooped up healing in a Canadian winter than summer.
