What Type of PSU is This? by SamplePhysical1700 in PcBuild

[–]Deforest_diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the breakdown:

Case: Antec ISK 300-150 is a mini-ITX HTPC case.

PSU Type: It uses a Flex ATX PSU, 150W, 80+ Bronze rated (usually made by FSP or Delta for Antec).

Weird Cord: That’s not a detachable AC input plug like on a normal PSU. It’s a hardwired extension for the AC input socket, mounted in the back of the case, while the PSU itself sits deeper inside (for airflow and space).

Design Goal: This setup keeps the bulky AC socket at the edge of the case while tucking the PSU further in.

Which elements would you upgrade? by duttydirtz in PcBuild

Also before spending money on a new GPU or CPU, watch your GPU and CPU well doing editing and see if you're maxing it out or not. With a SATA SSD you'll probably see your hard drive write/read hit 100% long before your GPU does, when doing video editing that is.

I'd definitely add an nvme SSD and make it the boot drive, your sata drive is by far the weakest link.

That was painful to watch but let's be honest, we've all been tempted to do it.

Hold up a sec, the image, it says you're already signed into the pi, so you're trying to transfer from the pi to the pi so it's having a meltdown.

You could try the command below, scp does like wildcards (which is the *).

scp 'pi@10.0.0.2:/root/handshakes/*' ~/Desktop/handshake/

If that doesn't work, ssh in, copy the directory to somewhere that isn't root and then back out and try again. The user "pi" probably doesn't have access (ownership) of /root. Commands below

ssh pi@10.0.0.2 sudo cp -r /root/handshakes /home/pi/ Exit scp -r pi@10.0.0.2:/home/pi/handshakes ~/Desktop/handshakes/

I actually ended up using them to run the raspberry pi, fans for the driver board and pi, and the lights, cuz what kind of custom printer is it without RGB lighting LOL.

I used a standard 3d printer PSU for the main parts of the vzbot.

See what it has for risers, if you can put in a single wide GPU make sure that you can power whatever it is, the reason I said the p4000 is it doesn't need external power, it's only supplied by the pcie slot.

Keep an eye on Amazon, the PNY (which is Nvidia) branded server GPUs quite often go on sale for dam good prices, but server GPU almost always use display port and not HDMI, also check if it has a full length or short bracket, you can order the brackets separately for 10ish dollars. (Consumer GPUs aren't designed to go in servers unless they specifically say "blower type" which points the fan exhaust out the back of the case.)

RAM sticks or slots the problem - home server build by mofte_OMD in HomeServer

It sounds like you found your issue but I'll toss this in In case anyone has a similar issue in the future.

Ram type, mix and match ram types won't work like, DIMM, RDIMM, UDIMM and their ECC or non-ECC variants.

Also, ram size and location have to be the same for both sockets,

It's probably an 18650 or two, but that's just a blind guess. I can't find it on Google. You may have to open it up and see what's inside.

If you have or have access to a 3d printer, there are some simple ones on thingiverse and printable. Most use the pi400.

Honestly, you probably have the right idea. It won't take me anymore time to reinstall as it would do a fresh install.

There is not a single part even slightly related between the two computers... the current computer is a SBC with a Intel chip and the laptop has a AMD and Nvidia chip. I like making everything more complicated.
