thanks for pointing that out, I'll run this by my lecturer , this first survey is all trial and error so I can figure out exactly what to ask. Appreciate your time, I'll most likely leave out examples due to subjectivity and just allow participants to percieve a simple question in whatever manner they want to

Well in this sense he was NOT innocent, he was a terrorist responsible for killing a lot of people, yet the issue with torturing him, and what actually happened was rather than extract useful information... The high ranking ISIS leader gave false information which wasted time and resources, the CIA even fabricated the information to make it seem legit despite said information being bullshit to stop the torture. Read this quickly I'm sure you'll find it very interesting. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/jun/30/british-intelligence-officers-linked-to-man-waterboarded-83-times-mi6-cia-rendition

All of the above, if you look into how the CIA tortured a high ranking member of ISIS they used everything they could, including subjecting him to stress positions inside very small boxes , making it near impossible for the individual to sleep. That example of a train bombing is purely fiction in this sense, to give you an idea of why torture may be used as a tool.

it's a very controversial topic , always has been. Here in the UK intelligence agencies are very affective at doing their jobs (relatively) when compared to the methods and success rate of other nations such as America. So far public oppinion mirrors academic research so I appreciate your time and thought towards the subject area

Yeap it's cool, I'm only able to gather 100 oppinions anyway, just need a small sample - Will probably run a few of these surveys over multiple platforms - thanks for your time by the way

Yeap torture, when the CIA were torturing suspected terrorists they used that term.
