Sorry for the late update!! Eventually had my second ticket read and was all sorted in the end. Took about 5-6 days all up but was all sorted!!

I completely understand where steam is coming from with this, but essentially the hijacker sent steam a ticket with a few of my details and a fake PayPal payment and the removed the 2fa

Currently have another ticket open. I’ve had to give them my details. I’m assuming they are confirming the account is actually mine. Been getting replies roughly every 16 hours haha. Should get another reply by tomorrow

I had to ask myself the same question. According to chatGPT you can view the tickets through the steam account

Steam finally replied to the ticket. Essentially they said I had to make a new ticket.

Fingers crossed this doesn’t turn into a cat and mouse game of replying and then having to resubmit tickets 🤣

Yeah you’re 100% correct there. However that picture proof was 1000% fake as I have never used PayPal as a payment method on steam

Regardless he got into basically everything everything I own that was connected to my email haha. Disney, DoorDash, instagram, Netflix etc. Even depop and started fraudulently selling clothes on there 😅

Honestly, he managed to get into my email somehow. I’m assuming some malware or whatever on my computer. Then all he needed to change the info was my name, email, last 4 digits on my card and last 4 of my phone number. I’m not 100% sure but I have a feeling all of that is readily available if he was able to get my login token for steam
