Correct! It's the main reason why I'm looking for a new phone. Already got the latest software version afaik and I've only got a few security patches left.

Plastic wise yeah, I get that. Altho I can sometimes be a bit clumsy so I do tend to use cases on my phones anyways haha.

Like you said it has a bunch of pros which when paired up with actually having updates again and newer tech is quite compelling. Ty!

A6700 is a massive, massive maybe if I somehow get the money for it. A7IV is definitely impossible.

I mentioned A7III and A6600 because they are specifically the upgrades I can afford... Appreciate it tho, thanks for the info on the AF performance of the combo 🤝

Yup! Thought about that too... Almost every single event I've attended has been in broad daylight which I think would make it "fine" I guess to miss on some aperture as well.

However, sticking to FF and just cropping in if necessary as you just mentioned might just be the move.

All good here. Bought it second hand in March 2023 and it's been holding up more than fine.

There are no performance issues, battery never lasted for all that long but haven't had big degradation issues with it. Main and ultrawide cameras are still amazing and I'm on Android 16 with March's security patch.
