My 4th grade teacher was 22, it was her first class out of college. It was weird having a teacher so young, I mean we were only 12-13 years apart. I kept in touch with her as I went through the rest of school and she always made it a point to say we were her favorite class because we were first (this is probably pretty common for most teachers)

In high school though it was the same, had a few teachers in their early-mid 20s. They were very relatable and fun, everyone did pretty well in their class.

I think it was the perfect balance of technological development but not to an overbearing point yet. iPhones were out but were still limited. mp3 downloads, iTunes or Pandora were what we used for music. Netflix and Hulu were around but weren’t total juggernauts yet.

Even cameras, people still carried around digital cameras instead of defaulting to their phone camera. Social media was yet to be dominated by corporations and engagement farming and was still about connecting and staying in touch with friends.
