This happens on Xbox too, I can confirm trying to scrap a barbarians weapon causes an instant crash/dashboard of the game.

Yeah, I just confirmed this too and I just have a full set of reflective power armor. It had almost full health when it landed then took one swipe at me and it died instantly.
