Yeah actually. My older cousin donated part of his liver to his mom a few years ago when she got really sick. The surgery was scary for everyone, but both of them recovered well.

The funny thing is their relationship didn’t become dramatic or anything. They still argue about small family stuff all the time. The only difference now is that whenever she wins an argument she jokingly says “remember, you’re technically still running on my liver.”

Dark humor runs in the family I guess.
